Le château aragonais est une fortification qui se dresse sur une île de roche trachytique située sur la côte orientale de l'île d'Ischia, reliée par un pont en maçonnerie de 220 m de long à l'ancien village de Celsa, connu sous le nom d'Ischia Ponte. L'îlot sur lequel le château a été construit dérive d'une éruption synaptique survenue il y a plus de 300 000 ans. Il atteint une hauteur de 113 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer et couvre une superficie d'environ 56 000 m². Géologiquement, il s'agit d'une bulle de magma qui s'est consolidée lors de phénomènes éruptifs et se définit comme un « dôme de stagnation ».
Sant'Angelo d'Ischia, dans la commune de Serrara Fontana, est un ancien village de pêcheurs qui s'étend devant l'îlot caractéristique d'Ischia. C'est le village méditerranéen caractéristique avec toutes ses maisons colorées perchées sur la crête de tuf de la montagne adossées les unes aux autres et surplombant le magnifique panorama de la mer cristalline d'Ischia.
Elle se dresse sur un petit promontoire surplombant la mer et est dédiée au culte de la Madonna della Neve ; elle est blanche, se détache de loin et représente la construction méditerranéenne classique. Le promontoire du Soccorso à Forio n'abrite pas seulement l'église, à côté se trouve le Torrione, symbole de Forio et siège du musée.

Nunzio was a wonderful guide with easy pick up and drop off. He took us around, sharing interesting facts along the way. Great opportunities to swim along the way and see the caves. Wonderful hidden gem of a lunch stop, too. We also engaged Nunzio to take us for a sunset ride and to and from the Naples Airport. Excellent service!

We had an amazing experience on this tour to Capri and Ischia! Everything was very well organized from start to finish, and the itinerary gave us the perfect amount of time to explore both islands.
