Commencez votre journée avec Notre guide vous attend à l'intérieur du port d'Alexandrie / Hôtel tenant un panneau indiquant vos noms puis nous visiterons la bibliotheca Alexandrina , le court ouvert pour voir la statue d'Alexandre le Grand , la statue de Ptolémée le premier et Les musées de la bibliothèque puis vous visiterez les catacombes de kom El Shokafa qui sont le plus grand cimetière romain puis vous passerez par le pilier Pompay puis vous visiterez le fort Qaitbay . nous visiterons également l'église de la cathédrale Saint-Marc - la plus ancienne église d'Afrique également visiter l'amphithéâtre romain antique qui a été découvert par coïncidence en 1960. Passez également par le Soldat Inconnu de la Marine puis vous serez de retour à votre lieu de dépôt.

Vous serez pris en charge vous visiterez Fort Qaitbay . Qaitbay Fort Alexandria est en effet l'un des plus importants bastions défensifs. Ce n'est pas seulement en Egypte, mais aussi le long de la côte de la mer Méditerranée. En outre, il a formulé une partie importante du système de fortification d'Alexandrie. C'était au 15ème siècle AC . Qaitbay Fort Alexandria situé à l'entrée du port oriental sur la pointe orientale de l'île de Pharos. Il a été érigé à l'emplacement exact du célèbre phare d'Alexandrie. Le phare d'Alexandrie était l'une des sept merveilles du monde antique. Le phare a continué à fonctionner jusqu'à l'époque de la conquête arabe.
Il est situé dans la région de Mansheya à Alexandrie et a été construit par la communauté italienne d'Alexandrie comme une sorte d'hommage au Khédive Ismail en raison de son grand rôle dans la réalisation d'une renaissance développementale et urbaine en Égypte pendant son règne entre 1863 et 1879 après JC. aussi comme une sorte d'hommage à l'Égypte en raison de l'accueil du dernier roi d'Italie, Victor Emmanuel III, après qu'il l'ait déposé et ait choisi Alexandrie pour y résider, et sa conception était similaire au mémorial du Soldat inconnu sur la place de Venise en la capitale italienne, Rome.
Les catacombes de Kom El Shokafa sont le plus grand cimetière romain. Dans les catacombes de Kom El Shoqafa, vous pouvez trouver des artefacts de différentes époques qui ont été conservés en très bon état. Certaines de ces choses sont d’anciennes inscriptions de tombes égyptiennes et romaines. En 1900, un accident d'âne a conduit à la découverte de tombes sculptées et de chambres funéraires dans une grotte.
Ensuite, vous visiterez également la cour ouverte pour voir la statue d'Alexandre le Grand, la statue de Ptolémée Ier et les musées de la bibliothèque. Le complexe est devenu l’un des principaux lieux culturels d’Égypte et une scène pour de nombreux artistes internationaux, et abrite une collection de musées brillants. Vous visiterez le musée du président Saddat et les impressions du musée d'Alexandrie. La Bibliotheca est fermée le vendredi
Ensuite, vous visiterez la plus ancienne église d'Afrique. Tout au long de votre trajet, vous verrez le vieux centre-ville et l'architecture historique locale qui présente des conceptions de style baroque et des propriétés de style italien et français.

L'amphithéâtre d'Alexandrie a été découvert par hasard en 1960. Alors que le gouvernement égyptien se préparait à ériger un de ses bâtiments dans la région de Kom El Dekka, l'un des ouvriers a trouvé une colonne solide sous la poussière et le sable pendant que les ingénieurs préparaient le site. Immédiatement, une équipe de fouilles s'est rendue sur place pour examiner ce qui avait été trouvé. Le théâtre romain a été une découverte très importante du 20e siècle. Il a été prouvé que le théâtre a été construit à partir du 4e siècle après J.-C. et a été utilisé jusqu'au 7e siècle en passant par les époques romaine, byzantine et islamique

Great 4,5h trip around beautiful Alexandria for all the highlights: different time-periods, different types of locations: from Roman catacomb graves and medieval fortress to the new Greek Poet Cavafis museum and the ultra modern library. Dina is a perfect guide, very knowledgeable and responsive
Period hotel with all the charm of a well-kept structure but firm in time. Excellent services, breakfast on the beautiful roof overlooking the sea and charming rooms. Very kind all the staff, always available to the customer with discretion

We booked this private tour of five of Alexandria"s highlights as it offered more of what we wanted to see and at a far lower price than anything offered by the cruise company we were travelling with (about half the price!). Communication prior to and during the tour was excellent, with Mirette staff even ringing us to make sure we had met with our guide, Haggag (we had to walk over the bridge from the cruise port to meet Haggag - about a 15 minute walk ftom the ship in total - the excursions booked through the cruise company leave from right outside the ship, but that is chaos with many vehicles being stuck in traffic jams for ages). We saw the Citadel, library, ancient roman amphitheatre, catacombs and the coptic church. Haggag was great at explaining the history behind the sights, and was able to answer all of our questions. The tour also included a private tour of the library provided by a library volunteer, Maria, who was also excellent. We never felt rushed and were able to take things at our own pace. We felt we definitely benefited from having our own guide rather than being part of a large group tour. The tour felt like real value for money and we would highly recommend it. Would not recommend trying to find your own way around Alexandria, especially if you are time limited - the roads have to be seen to be believed! So grateful for our driver for getting us round safely.

The tour included a stop at all of the important historical sites plus the library of alexandria. With the way Egyptians drive is absolutely 100% necessary to hire someone to do the driving for you around the town. This company did a good job and the driver and guide Mohammad were both excellent

We had a great tour of Alexandria with Wessam and driver . She was very clear and organized. Her experience and familiarity made the tour very easy and smooth. Our tickets were paid, and entry was basically no waiting. Her recommendation of a seafood restaurant was perfect. We chose the 4 stops, and she arranged them logistically for us. A real professional which will not disappoint!
