My partner and I had the wine tour today, it was such a great experience which we both would highly recommend. Our guide, Julia was fantastic, very friendly with great knowledge of the wine and kefalonia. We visited the vineyard and olive Grove followed by a light lunch at her family home. We followed this up by visiting the winery where we sampled various wines. What a great day, thank you Julia, Scott and Ashley.
My wife and I had the best time on the wine tour! Julia is so wonderful and it was a pleasure to get to know her and learn about Kefalonian wine and the island more generally. This was the highlight of our trip and I could not recommend it more highly!
If you want a true authentic Greek experience, this is your trip. Julia is very knowledgeable and takes you in as if you were an old friend. The flow of the tour was enjoyable and was the perfect way to spend an afternoon to break up the beach days. Don’t think twice! Book now!
When you experience a wine and vineyard tour with Julia you come away with a flavour of the Kefalonia that is away from the tourist centres. As part of a well established vineyard and olive farming family her knowledge is second to none and we were treated to lunch at her family home. The visit to the island’s largest wine maker (a cooperative of which her family is a part) gave us a taste of a variety of wines and a beautiful setting. To visit Kefalonia and miss this tour with Julia would be a crime.
If you have the faintest interest in wine, this trip is highly recommended. Julia is awesome. She comes from a farming community and her love of wine and olive oil making really comes across. Having been part of a cooperative for many years, Julia absolutely knows her stuff and guides you through wine tasting with passion and detail. There’s a visit to her village for lunch and it is the perfect backdrop to learn about the history of winemaking in the region and her family business. Yammas!
5* would recommend to everyone. Perfect guide & couldn’t have asked for anything else. Thank you for the best wine tour we have ever been on.
Absolutely fabulous experience. Do not hesitate to book. Julia is friendly, knowledgeable and extremely professional. We spent a wonderful afternoon learning so much about the region and tasting the most delicious foods and wine. The olives from Julia’s farm are without doubt the best we have ever tasted! Cannot recommend this trip highly enough - and I’m very fussy!!
We had a fantastic day on this wine tour. Our guide, Julia, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions with enthusiasm and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Her hospitality really made the experience special. The homemade food was absolutely delicious and a lovely addition to the day. Every wine we tasted was excellent, and it was fascinating to learn more about the local grape varieties and winemaking traditions. If you're visiting Kefalonia and enjoy wine, this is a truly unique experience that I'd highly recommend. Thank you, Julia, for such a memorable day!
An amazing wine tour! Julia was the best guide: so informative, warm, and welcoming. She taught us about the history wine and olive oil in Kefalonia. She showed us the traditional way to eat psomí ke ládi (which I hope I’m spelling right), with all fresh and local ingredients. And we got to have olives and olive oil from her farm! The wild oregano was a nice touch. The wine tasting at the co-operative winery was great. We especially liked the Robola wines. Julia talked us through all the wines we were trying. She was a true joy to be around. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a lovely afternoon with great company and delicious wines.
We absolutely loved this activity. Julia, our guide, gave us a personal experience by visiting some of her family's olive groves and vineyards, she drove us through a ghost town from the '53 earthquake where her parents lived, we had a wonderful lunch at her parent's patio and then we went to a beautiful wine tasting. It was a memorable last day in gorgeous Kefalonia.
