Du classique Raki / Tsikoudia au Bougatsa crétois, les variétés locales de fromage local, les olives et même les meilleurs bonbons. Afin de rendre cette visite unique, nous avons ajouté une visite à un magasin d'herbes et de produits locaux (qui, parmi les habitants, est considéré comme le joyau le plus secret) et également une visite au meilleur fabricant traditionnel de couteaux crétois. Nous visitons à la fois la ville moderne et la vieille ville. Nous arrivons à voir sur notre chemin, le marché (qui est en reconstruction), les charmantes rues étroites de la vieille ville et la beauté du port vénitien. John was an excellent tour guide who was passionate about both food and Chania. We listened to the other reviews and did not eat prior but still got stuffed half way through. Almost every stop the food was excellent, there was only one we weren’t thrilled about.
Our tour guide, Maria, was excellent. We experienced many local, well established, traditional eateries.
We loved spending the day with Maria. She showed us so much of the city, taught us some Greek phrases and stuffed us full of good food. The views of the city were amazing and we enjoyed the shopping too.
We had the best time on our walking tour with John. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the food was absolutely fantastic. This is a define must do while in Chania!

My family and I had an outstanding experience on this tour. Our guide Christos was exceptionally knowledgeable and warm, and what impressed us most was how naturally he read the room. Our family has a mix of personalities, and he struck a perfect balance between drawing people in and giving space to those who preferred to just take it all in, without anyone feeling left out or put on the spot. He took us to corners of Chania we never would have found on our own, and the food was simply remarkable. If Christos recommends a restaurant, take his word for it. Just go. The food tour with him was one of the true highlights of our entire time in Crete.
Perfect way to kick off our trip! (And to stay awake a little later to adjust to the time change.) Food was incredible and so well thought out. Especially appreciative of accommodations for food allergy and vegetarian diets in the group. Helped orient us to Chania and identify spots to dine during our visit. All the stars.
Our guide John was a genius ! Not only did he go out of his way to try to find one of our participants the souvenir that he wanted, the information he gave us about the country and the area was top-notch. He took his time, he never made us feel rushed and we would highly recommend anyone requesting him for this tour. The food was delicious and we loved stopping at all of the local places and getting the history of the food. It was storytime all day and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
We had a great experience with Christos on the food walking tour! The tour is extremely well organized, with a great mix of locations. He is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and you can feel the passion he has for Chania and Cretan food. He also made himself available for any help we needed during our trip and the restaurant recommendations he provided were excellent!
