My daughter and I ended with a personal tour, as no others were scheduled during our time. Matt met us promptly and was a knowledgable, enthusiastic and engaged tour guide. Enjoyed seeing the items in the Verb Hotel and the town as we walked around. He was very helpful when we needed directions to head to another area of town after the tour and with a suggestion for a place for lunch (and took us there). Highly recommend this tour with someone who clearly loves the subject and Boston.
For anyone who is interested in rock music (Pixies, Nirvana, Radiohead, The Cars, Bruce Springsteen, just to name a few) and would like to learn about their connection to Boston, I would highly recommend this tour. Matt, the guide, is a local musician himself is very approachable and entertaining. Recommend!
Very enjoyable, fun tour that covers how important Boston was to the developing rock, punk, and indie music scene. The Guide/Matt was very knowledgeable and friendly. Even if you're familiar with Boston, this tour shows tge city in a different light.
As New England natives, long time concert goers, and potential Berklee student we had a great time on the Soundscape walking tour through Fenway and Kenmore Square! Our guide, Matt, brought the party and took us on a nostalgic journey. His unmatched enthusiasm from the start, truly brought the history to life. He asked about our personal customer preferences and musical tastes before we kicked off, tailoring the stories to hit on our favorite genres and artists. As a local musician, his knowledge is impressive. He shared deep, gritty, behind-the-scenes trivia about vanished legendary venues like The Rat and icons like JGeils, Aerosmith, New Kids on the Block and the Pixies. Matt was a great Hang and very generous with his knowledge not only of the rock n roll scene but also Berklee and the current Boston music scene we would and have recommended his tour! Enjoy
