Once in a lifetime
Must be a good swimmer. Possibly a better explanation of what to expect would be in order. We had a very unique and unforgettable experience that would have been excellent with a bit more preparation by the guide. He was very knowledgeable but does it everyday and we will do it once in our lifetimes!
For example, the guide kept saying to stay behind him but when you don’t know where he is going you have to stare at him and you can miss the whales!!

Amazing!
I don’t know how to put into words how highly i would recommend this experience, this is an absolute must do. The crew is amazing this is my 2nd year in a row with this same company and they make you feel safe and they make a real effort to make sure you get to swim with whales. Just not one negative thing to say about this company and crew.

We swam with 8 whales!!!
Words cannot describe this experience. I was scared to death to do this but my wife really wanted to since it was the season and that’s the entire reason we honeymooned here. Well… they say you are lucky if you get to see one whale. Even luckier if you get to swim with one. WE GOT TO SWIM WITH 8!!!!!! For someone who was beyond nervous, I felt so safe and calm and comfortable once we entered that water. The weather broke so there was no wind and the water was calm (but I understand why some reviews mention motion sickness- it’s a tiny 6 person boat). Two people on the boat just wanted to watch. They definitely missed out because the boats have to stay a certain distance away and the rest of us literally watched whales swim under us and circled us etc. it was beyond words. We will be doing this exact tour with this exact team again. Vie was our guide. He was incredible beyond imagination. Thank you so much for such an experience - im crying again as I write this.

Lifetime experience !
Henua our guide and Papy (Nico) our captain were perfect. Professional, respectful and very nice. They perfectly know where to go and anticipate whale move to be on the right spot. Lucky us we could actually swim with whales: calf and mother. Great, amazing, crazy, you name it.. experience of a lifetime !

Meeting with the whales
The guide Yohan and the pilot Papy really made us dream!!! We were able to meet a whale and her calf twice and swim with them… We will keep an excellent memory of this encounter and we realize how lucky we were!! We greatly appreciated the respect that the team showed toward the animals and we really felt this attachment they have for their island and the ocean. Thank you for sharing this with us!
A big thank you also to Johanna and Teva for their kindness, their welcome, and their benevolence. We will definitely return because even though we have returned to France, our hearts have remained in Moorea!

Worst tour ever!
Worst tour ever! Weather was horrible. We should never have gone out. 40 mile an hour winds and 10 foot swales. We went out and sat in a group of 2 other boats waiting with no plan or time frame to get close to one whale. No music, nothing g just sat there getting g tossed around for two hours. Kid went upon the room of the boat and talked on his phone. We made them bring us back after 2 hours. This was not a whale WATCH. It was a park and wait up to
Four hours to MAYBE get close to a whale. Save your money. Book with another company and don’t go out in bad weather.

Disappointing experience and unexpected additional costs
Unfortunately, this was by far the most disappointing experience of our vacation in Polynesia, especially because of the guide's attitude.
We fully understand the importance of explaining safety measures and the potential dangers of such a unique experience. However, the way they were presented seemed excessively alarmist to us, without any attempt to create a calm and pleasant atmosphere. After listing all the risks, the guide basically stopped interacting with us, explaining that he had to stay on the phone to communicate with other boats in case of sightings.
Even during the excursion, his attitude was rather grumpy and not very attentive to the needs of the participants. In all the other experiences we had in Polynesia, however, we met kind, helpful, and thoughtful guides who were able to make us feel involved and at ease.
There was a complete lack of any explanation or interesting facts about the whales, which we would have expected from an excursion dedicated specifically to encountering these extraordinary animals.
But what left us most perplexed concerns the additional costs requested.
We were only provided with masks and fins. When we asked for wetsuits, we were told that we would have to pay 25 dollars for each wetsuit. At that moment, the guide convinced us to rent them by pointing out that, considering we could have stayed in the water for up to an hour, we would inevitably have gotten cold. As a further motivation, we were also presented with the possibility of encountering jellyfish, thus also presenting the wetsuit as a form of protection. A cost that, up to that moment, we had never been informed of and that, if communicated in advance, would have allowed us to organize ourselves differently.
Considering that in the end we stayed in the water for no more than 7-8 minutes, with warm water and without encountering any jellyfish, we believe that the additional 25 dollars were an absolutely useless expense.
And it doesn't end here.
At the end of the dive, the guide came back on board saying that he had made a beautiful video with the GoPro. When my wife, who despite having regularly paid for the entire excursion had not managed to get into the water for fear, asked if it was possible to receive it, she was told that she would have to pay an additional 50 dollars directly to the guide!
Honestly, we were incredulous and initially we even thought he was joking.
We wonder if the organizing company is actually aware of all these additional economic requests and, above all, if it considers it correct that they are communicated to customers only during the excursion.
As for the sighting, we managed to see a whale, but without getting particularly close. We also had to wait a long time before getting into the water, due to the presence of numerous other boats. In the end, we stayed in the water for no more than 7-8 minutes, a time decidedly shorter than the expectations that had been created for us.
We know well that encounters with wild animals cannot be guaranteed or scheduled and that sighting conditions depend on multiple factors.
What we missed was professionalism, also understood as the ability to welcome, engage, and accompany participants in an experience that should be special.
Overall, an excursion decidedly below expectations and, above all, very far from the quality of the other experiences we had during our trip, as well as from what we had been told by friends and acquaintances.
