Nous marcherons 304 escaliers à la mosquée Kadhafi, qui offre la meilleure vue de Kampala tout en nous permettant de voir les sept collines historiques où Kampala a commencé à se développer ! Au Palais du Roi, nous vous donnerons une grande histoire du royaume de Buganda ainsi que de regarder de plus près les chambres de torture d'Idi Amin ! Les tombeaux des royaux de Kasubi sont un site de l'UNESCO, mais ils vous en disent long sur la culture et les traditions du Buganda.

Itinéraire
Après nous être retrouvés, nous irons directement à la mosquée Kadhafi connue sous le nom de mosquée nationale !! Une promenade guidée à l'intérieur puis une grande randonnée du minaret (tour) jusqu'au sommet pour avoir une vue spectaculaire sur Kampala.
Nous continuerons vers le palais du roi du royaume de Buganda pour en savoir plus sur l'histoire du royaume dominant dans le pays, mais aussi pour voir les restes de voiture du roi, le canon et les chambres de torture d'Idi Amin Dada.
Puis continuation vers les tombeaux royaux de Kasubi où furent enterrés les quatre rois du royaume du Buganda ! Puisque c'est le lieu de sépulture de la famille royale du royaume du Buganda ! Découvrir les 84 maisons des épouses du roi !! C'est incroyable d'entendre qu'un roi a eu quatre-vingt-quatre (84) épouses ! Mais c'est aussi un site de l'UNESCO.

I had a great experience with Olivia who guided me through Kampala hills. Learned a lot with her and the two guides at Kabaka's Palace and Kasubi Tombs, Ronnie and Jessica.
The three places we visited were well worth seeing. The mosque is amazing as are the views from the tower. The Royal Palace and tour along with the view back to the Parliament building are thought-provoking and the burial tombs are interesting. We enjoyed the walks from each location, though it was a long way from the Palace to the tombs! Our guide, Malik, was excellent and full of interesting information.
As a solo female traveller from the US, I felt super safe on this trip. My guide (Malik) was amazing - very thoughtful and knowledgeable. It was a walking tour throughout the city, but honestly I liked this even more than driving/boda boda since it meant I got to see even more of the city that I would have never seen on my own. It was definitely a great experience I’ll never forget!
Our walking guide Getrude was amazing, she was keen to inform us about history in Kampala and led us to each site. At the mosque with all the seven house of Kampala and learn about the neighborhoods then at the Kings Palace, we learned more about Ugandan history, then the tombs were we learned more about the spiritual aspects of Ugandan history.
Gertrude did an amazing job showing us the 3 sites, answering questions, and spending as much time as we wanted! She is passionate about her country and sharing it with others.
