Tokyo Underpass Food Tour

Description

We had a great night with Masa, starting out with seafood and vegetables in a salaryman's izakaya, proceeding on to a yakiniki (beef was excellent) restaurant under the train tracks and ending up with flights of sake underground in a building we would never be able to find again. Masa was a wonderful host!
The food tour was really good. Naomi was very knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable. The restaurants we visited were very authentic and the food and drink were outstanding. I can't recommend this tour highly enough
Dear Richard Thank you so much for your heartwarming review. I am very sorry that Tracy was not able to join us on the tour, but I am glad that you enjoyed the food and the tour and it was a great memory for me as well. Please enjoy the rest of your trip to Japan. Naomi
A big thank you to our generous host and guide, Shuhei, for leading our group on an incredible food tour. From rice crackers, to ramen, to local milk ice cream, to sake tasting, to various baked goods, and ending with my favourite, a stop into a matcha/ coffee shop. The food and drinks were great, no question about that. But when you sign up for a tour like this, it’s the unexpected things that will remain with me. Building a friendship with Shuhei while on the tour felt like I was hanging with a brother. Discovering unexpected alleys and local craft stores on the walk, in an absolutely gorgeous neighbourhood - I built memories I’ll never forget. Thank you, Shuhei, for an incredible experience.
Karan san, Thank you so much for this amazing review. You said you were aiming to write the best review ever — and I have to say, you definitely delivered😀 It truly felt less like guiding and more like spending the day with friends. Exploring hidden alleys, local shops, and enjoying great food and drinks together in such a beautiful neighborhood made it a really special experience for me as well. Thank you again for joining the tour and for your incredibly warm words. I’ll remember this one for a long time. All the best, Shuhei
We had an amazing tour with Shuhei, who was an excellent guide. Fantastic food and a real cultural insight. Would definitely recommend!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I truly enjoyed guiding you, and I’m very happy to hear that both the food and the cultural insights made the experience memorable for you. I hope you two took amazing photos and I’ll be looking forward to chatting about photography again somewhere. Best regards, Shuhei
Friendly and welcoming visit. A real local experience with good advice. But also a beautiful and touching human encounter. I recommend
A really fun and well organised tour of three restaurants with an ice cream parlour to finish. Our guide Seiyo sampled places that were varied. All had delicious dishes and he suggested certain dishes and sake to try. He had excellent knowledge of the area and plenty of useful information and suggestions of places and activities in Tokyo. It was a great night out and would definitely recommend it.
Dear John, Thank you so much for the review! I am very glad to hear you enjoyed the tour. It was a great pleasure meeting two of you, and I hope you’ll visit us again someday! Arigato, Seiyo
