Le temple Senso-ji est le plus ancien temple de Tokyo. Le nom Asakusa est apparu pour la première fois dans l'histoire du Japon en 628, lorsqu'une petite statue du Kannon fut capturée par deux pêcheurs à Asakusa. Les habitants du village ont construit un petit temple pour la statue sans rien savoir de son origine. La statue est gardée cachée dans une boîte en bois scellée depuis 645, lorsqu'un moine bouddhiste qui avait été invité de Nara pour voir la statue a suggéré de le faire. La boîte a été ouverte une fois en 1868 par des officiers envoyés par le gouvernement pour exécuter les ordres concernant la séparation du shintoïsme et du bouddhisme. Le temple a reçu le soutien constant de puissants samouraïs et est devenu un temple familial du shogun Tokugawa au début du XVIIe siècle. La plupart des bâtiments du temple ont été perdus pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Le bâtiment principal a été reconstruit en 1958 et la pagode à cinq étages en 1973.
Cependant, le marché principal de Tsukiji a été remplacé en 2018 par le marché de Toyosu, le marché extérieur de Tsukiji reste. Il existe encore divers restaurants et magasins contenant de nombreux articles intéressants. (Certains magasins et restaurants sont fermés les dimanches, mercredis et jours fériés)
Ginza possède des boutiques et des galeries éclectiques, des magasins vendant de l'artisanat traditionnel japonais et une incroyable sélection de restaurants et d'architecture de pointe.
Le palais impérial était le château de la famille shogun Tokugawa de 1603 à 1868. Il est devenu le palais impérial lorsque le pouvoir politique est revenu à l'empereur Meiji. Les jardins du palais impérial ont de nombreux pins et pelouses parfaitement entretenus qui peuvent être appréciés depuis une voiture. Vous pouvez également faire une courte promenade pour voir les murs et les ponts du palais.
Le bâtiment de la Diète nationale (Parlement) est l'un des rares bâtiments de Tokyo à avoir survécu aux raids aériens de 1945. Le bâtiment a été construit en 1936.
Il existe divers bâtiments conçus par les plus grands architectes du monde à Omotesando. Vous pouvez également trouver toutes les marques célèbres de la mode.

It was wonderful and very convenient to have a private tour van pick our family from domestic terminal for 5 hour tour for layover at Tokyo and drop us off later at international terminal. Our tour guide Ms Miku definitely made our tour even more amazing. She accommodated the tour to our family's agenda. She was very knowledgeable and explained history and significance of the places we visited. And we had few delicious food station stops during our walk she recommended that was delicious. Made Harajuku stop longer bec kids wanted to spend more time here. Ms Miku definitely made our 5 hour layover tour an extraordinary experience. We highly recommend Ms Miku as a guide and her company. And thank you for the box of variety of delicious snacks and refreshments.

We had a fantastic time with the wonderful Roberto. He took us to see things we were interested in and had the most amazing stories to tell us. We learnt so much from him, and saw temples and parks and old Tokyo and the highlight was Mt Fuji.

We visited 1.Shibuya Scramble crossing 2.Near Tokyo Skytree 3. Sensoji temple (Asakusa Street shops) 4. Odaiba ( waterfront) We saw Rainbow Bridge and Statue of Liberty.

This tour was the highlights of Tokyo. Douglas our tour guide was a delight. He was waiting for us as we arrive, was knowledgeable about our destinations, was flexible in extending our time and planned on the fly. We had planned on a five hour tour and extended it to eight. He even took us to a local restaurant and ordered a unique dining experience for our group. Douglas went the extra mile to meet all our needs. He even assisted us in shopping for a special gift. At the end of our tour, Douglas walked us to our gate and made sure we were safely on our way. All of us would highly recommend this tour and suggest requesting Douglas as your guide. Syota was my tour guide. He was on time, very good communicator and the car was super clean. He knew all the locations I wanted to see. My phone was dead so unable to take photos. He loaned me his phone to take pictures. I wanted to have lunch at a Japanese restaurant. He found one within walking distance of the temple.
