La calligraphie japonaise est l'essence de la culture japonaise traditionnelle. Pourquoi ne pas vous essayer à cet art? "Shodo", ou calligraphie japonaise, est un art écrit des mots qui sont écrits dans un style à la fois artistique et émotionnel. L'art de la calligraphie a été transmis de Chine aux VIe et VIIe siècles, époque à laquelle les Japonais ont appris à fabriquer des pinceaux, de l'encre et du papier. Peu de temps après son introduction, il est devenu une compétence indispensable pour les nobles instruits et les samouraïs, les dirigeants du Japon. Au fil du temps, l'appréciation s'est étendue au grand public. Maintenant, il peut être trouvé non seulement comme des œuvres d'art, mais aussi dans des choses telles que les cartes du Nouvel An et d'autres écrits d'occasion spéciale. Cette forme d'art fait maintenant partie de la culture japonaise.

Keikyu L'école se trouve à cinq minutes à pied de la gare d'Umeyashiki sur la ligne Keikyu. Il offre un large éventail d'instructions allant de la calligraphie de base à la calligraphie créative. L'instructeur, le calligraphe Eizuru Matsumura, est également artiste, conférencier lors d'ateliers, d'événements et de programmes télévisés, et a créé le logo officiel de la brochure du tournoi mondial de karaté Kyokushin. My experience with the calligraphy master, 栄鶴先生 Eikaku Sensei, was exceptional. He is a true artist. Humble, kind, patient and immensely skilled. Having never tried Japanese calligraphy before, through his guidance I was able to produce a keepsake to be proud of. Throughly recommended. ありがとうございます 栄鶴先生。

Rie took us around Shaduku for a day . She was a delight and helped us tremendously with getting around the city and train system. She was so patient and sensitive to whatever we were interested in doing. she also helped us with some of our trip planning which was such a bonus as this was our first time in Japan. We HIGHLY recommend her!

An artistic director encounter with a creative calligrapher. Our guide helped us to the studio where we enjoyed a full 90 minutes of instruction and practice. It was exhilarating and relaxing at the same time. We highly recommend it and we highly recommend our guide Rie.

The calligraphy class I took with Mr. Matsumura was one of the highlights of my trip to Japan! Mr. Mats (as he instructed me to call him), was a great teacher. He gave lots of examples of how to (and how not to) write. He was also very patient and encouraging. I would highly recommend this class!

My son and I had an amazing experience with the calligraphy sensei! He was so patient and gave us great explanations and helpful tips, making the lesson both wonderful and deeply meaningful. Our experience with both Eikaku and Miho was extraordinary. Miho translated and helped to make us comfortable throughout our time of visiting Eikaku Matsumura. Eikaku's talent and artistic abilities were amazing. He helped us to learn a few important Kanji brush strokes. It was so interesting to work with him. I especially enjoyed looking around his studio at his displayed works and through published books with pictures of him and his students and their works. Spending time with Eikaku will remain a favorite experience for me.
