Was a little hard to find, but the experience was worth it, Mai was an amazing tutor even though I struggled with the difficult wood I chose. She even helped me carefully pick out a Japanese phrase to engrave. Leaving with happy memories 😁

My visit to Zen Japanese Craft Workshop in Asakusa was an amazing experience and one of the highlights of my trip to Japan. I came to make my own pair of chopsticks and loved every minute of the process. Betty was incredibly attentive, patient, and helpful as she guided me through each step of crafting the chopsticks I selected. I was given the opportunity to choose from several different types of wood, and because I had made reservations in advance, two types of wood were included in the experience, with premium woods available for an additional charge. I also had the option to engrave my chopsticks for 2,000 yen, although engraving is complimentary for chopsticks valued over 5,000 yen. It took about 30 minutes to create. Creating something by hand made the experience feel even more special, and I left with a beautiful and meaningful souvenir to take home. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Zen Japanese Craft Workshop to anyone visiting Asakusa and looking for a unique cultural activity.
