Nous laisserons les ruines séduisantes du IIe siècle après J.-C. loin du XIVe siècle pour nous rendre à notre deuxième destination, la Villa d’Este, l’une des plus belles villas de la Renaissance en Italie. Ce magnifique palais, avec ses jardins extraordinaires remplis de centaines de fontaines, vous laissera captivé. La fontaine monumentale de Neptune du Bernin est considérée comme la plus impressionnante, ses jets d’eau atteignant une hauteur de 10 mètres. Cela ne veut pas dire que la fontaine centrale et la fontaine ovale ne vous laisseront pas indifférent.
Cette excursion d’une journée au départ de Rome commence par un trajet en bus de 40 minutes à la villa d’Hadrian. L’immensité du domaine d’Hadrian est un spectacle qui impressionnera à coup sûr. L'empereur a choisi de construire sa résidence en dehors de la ville dans un lieu riche en eau, afin de construire le célèbre Canopus, l'un des sites les plus préservés du complexe. Les statues entourant cette piscine créent des reflets saisissants sur sa surface, entourée de magnifiques jardins verdoyants.

Giuseppe was a fantastic guide. He was extremely knowledge and struck a good balance between walking us around while sharing information and giving us time to explore and take pictures. The pickup in Rome was easy and transportation to Tivoli made everything a breeze. Hadrian's villa is something to see and Villa d'Este is spectacular. The preservation of frescoes, mosaics, incredible fountains and breathtaking view cannot be missed.
Martia was great as a French-speaking guide. She was very attentive and her explanations were very interesting.
The guide was in the meeting exactly as described. The driver left the group safely and our guide - Marzia- conducted us for an amazing tour in both places. The lunch was delicious and well served. Great day!

This tour to Tivoli was one of the highlights of our trip! Visiting Villa d’Este and Hadrian’s Villa was an incredible experience—both are absolutely breathtaking and so rich in history. It’s hard to believe how much beauty and history are packed into one day. Our guide, Joseph, made the experience even better. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the sites we visited. His stories and historical insights brought everything to life, and he made the day enjoyable from start to finish. This tour exceeded our expectations and was worth every minute. If you’re visiting Rome, don’t miss this tour—and if you’re lucky enough to get Joseph as your guide, you’re in for a fantastic day!
My and fellow traveller's main complaint is that we took off for Tivoli at 9.30 am as planed and about 30 minutes or so later the bus turned around to go and pick up two passengers. It wasn't clear who was to blame because they weren't there when we boarded. Unbelievably instead of bringing these two traveller's to Tivoli in a taxi the y inconvenineced all of us in 94 degree heat and bad air conditoned bus taking the bus BACK to Rome to pick them up. This is totally unacceptable. Worse stil the guide/company didn't even serve us cold drinks during the drive to Tivoli.. The tour was quite good. the guide in Tivoli provided a good tour.
