Tour de Cusco dans la vallée du sud de Pikillacta et Andahuaylillas

Description

This was a wonderful tour of some of the less seen attractions outside of Cusco. Our guide Chisten was an incredible asset to understanding not only what we visited but also local culture. The church is truly a not to be missed gem. The archeological sites were different from others we had visited and very interesting. We had a private tour which worked out great for us as I need to go slower than most other folks. Christen had no problem with this and never rushed us. Also a "shout out" to our driver Luis who was amazing at navigating the intricacies of driving in Cusco and surrounding areas. Terrific tour to a worthwhile destination.
Hi Jan, Thank you so much for this wonderful 5-star Viator review of our Tipon Pikillacta and Andahuaylillas South Valley Tour of Cusco. We are so glad you chose to explore the South Valley with us. The pre-Inca Wari architecture of Pikillacta, the water engineering at Tipon, and the "Sistine Chapel of the Americas" in Andahuaylillas are truly hidden gems that many travelers miss. We are incredibly proud of Christian and Luis! It is wonderful to hear that our guide kept a comfortable, relaxed pace for your private tour and shared so much local insight, and that Luis navigated the roads safely. Ensuring our guests feel cared for and never rushed is exactly how we like to welcome people to our home. Thank you for discovering this unique side of Cusco with us, and thank you for traveling with a Peruvian local operator. Warm regards, The @MachupicchuLatinAmerica Family
Excellent tour and guide. Luis is extremely knowledgeable and entertaining about all the history but also life in Cusco and Peru. Oscar drove superbly.
The excursion was supposed to last all day and in fact we were back at 11:45 at our hotel. There was a ceremony during the visit of the church but the guide still charged us the entrance ticket while we could not visit the church. We did not stop at bread capital. This tour was sloppy and far too expensive for half a day sold for a full day
Hi Patricia, Thank you for taking a moment and provide your feedback. The tour according the provided information is a half day tour we started at 8:00am and we finist the tour by 11:45am in the last inca site Called Tipon and we arrived in Cusco by 1:00pm. Even that day was very rainy and you request to cut in some places due to heavy rainy time our guide tried to complete the tour on time. The issue was at Andahuaylillas chapel where we couldnt visit properly due to mass service something that might happen anytime and the church never tofied to travel companies about. We feel sad that the experience could't cover your expectations this time but these thigs like rain and mass was out of our control but the timing of the tour was according to the itinerary. Best regards Juan
Very nice 5 hours visit. Beautiful, varied, interesting. A good complement to other archeological sites in the Sacred Valley. Luis, the driver and Gary, the guide were perfect.
No lunch is included even though it was stated in the description. No water provided which is standard on tours like this. The guide’s knowledge was poor.
I highly recommend this trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable and welcoming. Everything went according to plan. Great opportunity to see other sites Cusco that are not overrun with tourist. The scenery was beautiful, we learned a lot, and had more exposure to local culture.
I loved this trip, it was a private tour and the guide's name is Alexis. He has a passion for Cusco, Peru and both the prehistoric and historic era. I can highly recommend Machupicchu Latin America and Alexis. I would also like to add, that when I need some practical information, the company answered right away.
This was a private tour with my tour guide Alexis and our driver. I spent a beautiful day visiting all the sites mentioned this tour. Alexis was amazing and very kind. He was knowledgeable and also very spiritual. The sites like Tipon, Pikillacta, and the Andahuaylillas Church were beautiful too. This tour is basically off the beaten track and is nice to do if you like visiting small villages and towns and see how the locals live. I enjoyed this tour.
I just wanted to leave a quick review of the tour that my partner and I took on 1 Nov, 2023. We booked the Tipon, Pikillacta and Andahuaylillas South Valley Day Tour from Cusco. Our guide and driver, Luis and Luis, showed up on time and immediately Luis made us feel comfortable. As we drove out of Cusco and got to know a little bit about Luis, it became clear that my partner connected with him in several areas of interest. This connection was exactly what my partner needed that day. Luis was incredibly knowledgeable about the places that we visited but it was his willingness to answer questions that might have seemed a little out of the blue and his concern for my partners feelings that really stuck out to us. He turned what could have been a regular ho-hum day into a highlight of our time in Cusco. I feel that anybody who gets Luis as a guide and Luis as a driver is very lucky. He knows how to connect with the people he is guiding and how to personalize the experience to them. I wish I was a better wordsmith because I have been able to express just a small portion of how special the time with them was. Thank you to Luis and Luis.
We have just realized that the tour guide did not take us to Pikillacta !!!! Whilst the rest of the tour was very good and informative we feel that we were cheated out of what we had booked and paid for !!
Dear Michael, Thank you for taking your time and revie your experience, we thank you that you remark that you enjoy the services. Actually, Pikillaqta is a huge place around 50 hectares, so we visit only a small portion of this Inca site. After spoke with Fabrizio, he informed us the procedures of the tour and the timing you spent there as well. The first stop was In Andahuaylillas (Sistine Chapel) for about 40 minutes, then we stop at Tipon for another hour finally the last stop was in Pikillaqta where your spent around 50 minutes at Rumicolca located in Pikillaqta Inca site. We are sorry if there was a misunderstood but we visited Pikillaqta and that specific day you were the only 2 in the tour. As most our reports we are almost trying to do our best and delivering the best travelling experiences as possible our goal is allway provide iven more than you spect. Thank you again for your valued feedback as we will make sure to remark the places, we are stopping to avoid any future confusion. Best wishes!!!!
