Description

This beautiful boat sails...

This beautiful boat sails about 45 minutes along the three rivers of Passau. On the only day we had for this excursion, the temperature was 98 degrees. The boat is not airconditioned.... In arranging the tour, I read that the narration was available in English. The tour was given in German only. The scenery was nice, but I would have chosen a different tour since I had not spoken German in 50 years....

Room for improvement.

The boat trip itself was great!! Unfortunately, the registration with the QR code did not work at all.. The somewhat overwhelmed, older man who was supposed to check the tickets was totally overwhelmed with the scanner and then also became quite unfriendly towards the guests!! There were several other guests there, besides us, who had a similar experience!! However, the woman at the ticket counter and the ship's crew were very nice!!

Passau Tour of the Three Rivers Connection, Germany

I really enjoyed An amazing Tour of the Passau Rivers! Nestled in Southeastern Bavaria, Germany, Passau is often called the "City of Three Rivers" because it sits at the remarkable confluence of the Danube, Inn, and Ilz rivers. The Passau Tour of the Three Rivers Connection offers visitors a unique opportunity to witness one of Europe's most fascinating natural and cultural landmarks. The highlight of the tour is the meeting point of the three rivers, known as the Dreiflüsseeck (Three Rivers Corner). Each river brings its own distinctive color and character. The Danube flows with a bluish hue, the Inn carries greenish alpine waters from the mountains of Switzerland and Austria, and the Ilz contributes darker, forest-fed waters. From elevated viewpoints or river cruises, visitors can clearly observe the striking contrast where the waters merge. A typical Three Rivers tour begins in Passau's charming Old Town, where narrow cobblestone streets, colorful baroque architecture, and historic squares create an inviting atmosphere. Along the way, visitors can explore architectural treasures such as St. Stephen's Cathedral, famous for housing one of the world's largest cathedral organs, and the Veste Oberhaus fortress, which offers panoramic views of the city and the river junction.

You can do that.

If you do not go to the castle, you should definitely take the trip to see the three rivers corner. It is also quite okay to relax in between after a city tour. You can drink coffee/cold drinks and have a small bite to eat. The view from the castle is significantly more beautiful, so you might even save the trip. However, the stay was pleasant.

Informative ride, clear recommendation

This ride is definitely worth it, when she should have been a little longer in my taste. The explanations on the way are very informative and easy to understand. The waiter on board was very friendly.

Definitely make

Nice ship, great ambience. You can eat and drink something at reasonable prices. Unfortunately with 45 min far too short.

A must in Passau

In beautiful weather we made this trip. Much has been reported about Passau and its history. And we drove all three rivers. Plus nice service on board.

Relaxing and pleasant

Very relaxing afternoon viewing the historic sites from a different pint of view. Well with the money. The tour is in German so don’t expect English. We knew that so we just enjoyed the relaxing afternoon viewing the sights and drinking coffee
