Thorsmork Hike Excursion d'une journée

The tour was very beautiful. The guide was amazing, he shared a lot of knowledge. However, we expected to see more places inland. Instead we had a very long stop at the glacier and a long stop at the Canyon. We think that if these 2 stops were shorter, we could have experienced more nature and get to know more of the special features of the inland.

We just had an amazing day in Thor's Valley. Reaching it by super jeep was a thrilling part of the experience. We covered just under 6 miles with over 1500 feet of elevation gain. If that sounds too intense Midgard offers other Thorsmork tours that are less hiking focused (you don't want to be the reason other hikers have a scaled back experience). What really made the tour was our incredible guide Carlos. He was an amazing source of information on everything from plants to geology to birds. He also had a ton of great local stories and answered every question about a huge range of topics. We have had some amazing guides all over the world and he definitely ranks as one of the best of the best.

Absolutely superb day, well-coordinated throughout with a delightfully engaging and fascinating guide who took us to the most epic viewpoints! Cannot recommend this highly enough to anyone who likes hiking. Even the pre-booked packed lunch was good! Fantastic.

This hike would make the highlight reel of my life! Midgard is top notch. We took a super jeep ride for about 45 minutes to the remote trailhead. Beautiful rugged scenery and jaw dropping views of mountains and glaciers. The first part of the hike was easy/moderate. Then we stopped for a delicious lunch which we purchased from Midgard. The next portion of the hike was a heart pumping climb of almost a mile up but the views made all that effort worth it. Our guide Valdy was very knowledgeable and personable. We were blessed with absolutely perfect weather making for an unforgettable memory. The total distance of both hikes was about 6.5 miles.

Really a highlight of the trip. The place was beautiful and the guide was very knowledgeable about hidden spots off the beaten track. We were reluctant at first as we weren't sure the tents would be comfortable but we were pleasantly surprised and all slept very well

We had a great day trip to Thorsmork! The hike was accurately described as moderate, with 1288 ft elevation gain with some some narrow / steep paths. The guide provided a lot of information about the area which really enriched the beautiful hike.

This is a wonderful, family & friends-run business, encompassing tours, a small hotel, and a restaurant/bar. We booked and enjoyed the Porsmork day hike tour, and had dinner & spent the night there. The rooms are clean, basic and functional, and the food (both dinner and breakfast) were excellent. The whole place has a “we are so glad to have you here” vibe, which really made it enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Hiking in Þórsmörk with Sven was absolutely amazing! He’s super friendly, authentic, and feels like a true Viking guide. The landscapes were breathtaking, almost like walking through an elven movie. We went as a couple and it was such a fun, unforgettable adventure. Highly recommended for anyone who loves hiking away from the crowded, touristy spots!
