Il s'agit d'une visite privée du patrimoine juif dans le centre-ville de Thessalonique, où la principale communauté juive vivait et travaillait depuis des siècles. Bien que peu de bâtiments anciens ne soient aujourd'hui conservés, en raison du terrible incendie de 1917 et des destructions de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, la communauté juive de Thessalonique ouvre les principaux sites liés au patrimoine juif. Cette visite peut se faire le matin, lorsque les sites sont ouverts jusqu'à 14h00 - pas le samedi et les jours fériés. Votre Guide Certifié organisera pour vous les heures exactes de visite avec la Communauté Juive. Une visite plus longue peut également être organisée sur demande par les transports privés pour voir le côté est de la ville avec les anciennes villas juives, et aussi l'ancienne gare, connue pour la déportation de 50 000 Juifs par les nazis en train. Les visites du Musée juif et des synagogues demandent une pré-réservation par votre Guide, avec nom complet, passeport et détails de nationalité à envoyer à l'avance.

Les Monastoriotes sont la soi-disant "ancienne" synagogue de la ville, récemment rénovée et se visite sur demande et sur rendez-vous avec vos guides touristiques pour vous, avec les détails du passeport nécessaires pour tous les visiteurs. Le prix d'entrée est inclus dans le billet combiné de 7 EUR avec la visite guidée du musée juif.
La nouvelle synagogue, aujourd'hui utilisée pour les offices quotidiens par la communauté juive de la ville
Le célèbre marché couvert de Modiano de 1930 vient d'être réaménagé et est désormais ouvert ! Il abrite de nombreux petits magasins d'alimentation, du nom de l'architecte de la ville, Eli Modiano.
Le musée juif de Thessalonique est installé dans un bâtiment historique. Nous verrons les expositions sur l'ancien cimetière juif, les vêtements traditionnels et les objets religieux des anciennes synagogues et une exposition de photos sur l'histoire des Juifs dans la ville de l'Antiquité aux temps modernes. Vous pouvez acheter des livres et des souvenirs dans la petite boutique du musée. Le prix d'entrée pour le musée et la synagogue est un billet combiné de 7 EUR par personne.
Le Mémorial de l'Holocauste est situé sur le front de mer, sur la place de la Liberté. Vous verrez la sculpture qui représente l'holocauste avec sept flammes, en forme de Menorah et de corps humains, créée par Nandor Glid en 1997. Vous entendrez parler du jour du Black Sabbath, qui s'est déroulé sur la même place.
