I had a fantastic experience on this gourmet food tour. We visited a range of authentic local producers and specialist food shops that I would never have discovered on my own. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about the local food scene. Rather than taking us to tourist traps, he introduced us to genuine, high-quality producers and explained the history, traditions and stories behind each product. It felt like a real insight into the local culture, rather than just a food tasting. I also appreciated that after the tour he sent a list of all the places we visited, along with some exclusive offers, so I could return during my stay. I'd highly recommend this tour, particularly if you're new to the city. It's the perfect introduction and, in my opinion, the best way to discover the city before doing anything else.
I had an absolutely amazing time with Thomas! He was so kind, generous, and knowledgeable. The amount of food we had was perfect and I was soooo full by the end of it. Such a good experience, I highly recommend it to anyone who visits, you learn so much about the town and food history.
Our food tour with Thomas was excellent! He accommodated a large group size of all age ranges and got to explore parts of the city we hadn't been before. Thomas was super informative and we all had a great time. Highly recommend.
We highly recommend Thomas for your Provence experience. Thank you Thomas for the lovely tour both days! You are a kind, knowledgeable, thoughtful and amazing person and we all totally enjoyed your tour and the amazing goodies you got us. Thank you for the fruits, the cheese, the amazing lunch both days and of course the extra bottle of cayenne truffle powder! Highly recommend this experience.
Tomas was very knowledgeable and proud of the food and traditions of his native Provence. I had a wonderful time learning about and tasting the foods from local vendors!
An expertly guided tour around the food shops and market stores of Aix en Provence with small bites and tastings along the way. Thomas was knowledgeable and friendly and it was a delightful guide to the old town.
Thomas knows all the “ins” and “outs” of terrific food in the region from where he comes and is a native. He knows what is great and what isn’t. He makes a point of taking you to the BEST off the beaten path places. You will NOT regret this tour! DEFINITELY A FAVORITE!
We were lucky to have a private tour, and Thomas was able to accommodate our specific requests. It was very fun and very informative. We only made the mistake of booking this very informative tour at the end of our stay. As a result, we were no longer able to try out many of Thomas's tips. We would recommend not eating too much breakfast beforehand, as you could sample things at every stop. You should also be open to everything, as Provençal cuisine can be very diverse. The product selection was very regional, which we found to be very good. Many thanks to our guide Thomas.
Gourmet tour of Aix-en-Provence that I highly recommend in the company of Thomas, a fascinating and passionate guide who took great care of our group. Everything we tried was excellent and there is something for every taste. At the same time, we discovered many dedicated shopkeepers and typical small streets of Old Aix. Really a must-do! Ramon.
Superb walk with a tasting of very good products. Thomas is very attentive and loves sharing his favorite spots. Highly recommended.
