Le Musée national de la civilisation égyptienne (NMEC) de Fustat, au Caire est un musée majeur présentant l'histoire de l'Égypte de la préhistoire à nos jours. Officiellement inauguré en 2021, il comporte : Galeries chronologiques et thématiques couvrant toutes les époques de la civilisation égyptienne Le célèbre Royal Momies Hall, où se trouvent 22 anciens rois et reines Installations modernes comprenant des salles d'exposition, un théâtre et des espaces éducatifs
La citadelle de Salah al-Din au Caire est une forteresse historique construite au par Salah al-Din (Saladin) pour protéger la ville. Situé sur la colline de Moqattam, il a servi de siège du pouvoir égyptien pendant des siècles. Les principales attractions comprennent la mosquée de Muhammad Ali, la mosquée du Sultan al-Nasir Muhammad et divers musées. Il offre une vue imprenable sur Le Caire et est un site historique et touristique majeur.
Le Caire copte est un quartier historique du Vieux Caire connu pour son héritage paléochrétien. Les principaux sites comprennent l'église suspendue, l'église Saint-Serge et Bacchus, la synagogue Ben Ezra et le musée copte. C’est un site religieux et culturel important, qui aurait été visité par la Sainte Famille pendant son séjour en Égypte. The tour was perfectly organized by Ibrahim, an outstanding guide who combines friendliness, kindness, and a great sense of humor with extensive knowledge of Cairo’s history, architecture, and culture. His explanations were engaging and made every stop even more interesting. The itinerary included the Citadel, the Coptic Quarter, and Khan El Khalili Bazaar, with a delicious lunch included during the day. The pace was well balanced, allowing plenty of time to enjoy each location without feeling rushed. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover the historic heart of Cairo with a knowledgeable and passionate guide.
