Awesome experience. We really enjoyed it. It was really well run and paced so that amateurs (me) could keep up. I would definitely do it again if I return to Khao Lak and try out the craft beer pairing as well.

A fantastic immersive experience, including a trip to the market to purchase ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed the cooking and more importantly eating our tasty dishes. Very good value if you book direct including pick up and drop-off and unlimited soft drinks.

We had a wonderfull morning cooking with Wandee. Travelling in the market was a great experience, the cooking was great, the kids were really enjoying it and finally, eating the food was delicious.

What a great few hours and strongly recommend it to anyone. We started in the market with Sarah and learnt about the local foods and where they are sourced from, Then into central Khao lak for our cooking school. We were a group of 4 and as there were 10 participants on the day, we were split into 2 groups - so we all had plenty of space and time cooking. Wandee is the head chef, having worked overseas, and got huge knowledge of Thai food and cooking. She has a great personality, made it fun and interesting and they also asked us for our favourite Thai dishes in advance so they could tailor the school to us. She has a lovely team and even though it was a hot day in July, the cooking area is well shaded and cool and we didnt overheat (just over ate!!) We know have recipes and loads of tips to cook better Thai at home - cant recommend this more highly and I will repeat when I come back next year

Amazing experience - warm, welcoming, friendly - in such a beautiful environment. We loved the market tour and wished we’d planned our class earlier in our stay so we could revisit. The food we prepared and cooked was divine, with beautiful teachers helping us along the way. Extra bonus was the wide range of local craft beers - I reckon we’ll add the craft beer tour next time. We attended a cooking class in Thailand for the first time and were absolutely thrilled. Even the pick-up from our hotel by Mrs. Wandee was warm and well-organized. Together, we first went to a local weekly market where we bought fresh ingredients for our menu. During our visit to the market, we gained fascinating insights into the diversity of Thai products and learned a great deal about their use in the kitchen. Afterwards, the practical part began: Under expert guidance, we were able to prepare appetizers, main courses, and even a dessert ourselves. The atmosphere was relaxed, educational, and full of enjoyment. This cooking class is a wonderful experience and highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn more about Thai cuisine.

We booked the cooking class as a family last Sunday (07/12/26) and were very satisfied with everything. Pick-up at the hotel (La Vela Khao Lak Resort) worked perfectly. Visit to a local market (great impressions, very good tour by Sarah) and after approx. 45 min. we went by car to the cooking school, which was approx. 5-10 minutes away. Everything is available in the cooking studio (very clean, including the restrooms). As a family (2 children, 10 and 12 years old), we cooked and ate spring rolls, chicken with cashew nuts, Panang curry, and chicken pad Thai in approx. 2 - 2 1/2 hours. Instructions were great, the kids were very enthusiastic. Wandee guided us the whole time. The recipes (and many more) can be accessed at any time via a QR code on Wandee's site with videos and a recipe list. The course is highly recommended, we would book it again in a heartbeat!
