Terceira Island Highlights avec Guide local

We had a fantastic tour with Carolina. She is so warm and friendly and very knowledgeable about the island and the Azores. The tour was full of interesting facts and information. We fitted in lots including the viewing highlights, a swim and a diary farm - thanks Papa! Recommend Carolina 100%. The Electric VW Buzz was really comfy and great for taking in the views.

Carolina was an AMAZING tour guide. She was very knowledgeable & passionate about her island! She picked us up from the airport & we were with her for 6 hrs. Her van was comfortable, clean & she kept it nice & cool for us. She shared the history of the island while driving us around. We ended the tour with her dropping us off at Materramenta winery & tried the Alcatra stew & citrus salad based on her recommendations of course with the local wine. It was DELICIOUS! Book with her you will not be disappointed!

Carolina is the perfect guide! She's welcoming, extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating. We had a wonderful time. She even took a slight detour to assist me in locating my grandfather's original home. Appreciate how she asked about lunch preference (type, appetite level, etc) before offering up recommendations. We settled on a small bakery that hit the spot. Her newer electric VW van is very comfortable, and Carolina is an excellent driver. Highly recommended this specific experience!

We enjoyed every minute of this tour! Terceira is a unique and beautiful place, and Carolina knows her island's best features. She is a warm, friendly, knowledgeable host. We did a half day Island tour with Carolina focusing on the Unique natural features of the island, lava tubes, fumaroles, natural pools, and stunning scenic overlooks. Carolina is a lovely knowledgeable tour guide who I would recommend to anyone wanting to explore this lovely island with a charming expert.

We had a wonderful day with Carolina. It was the only day of our trip that we hired a guide, and it was well worth it! She picked us up right from the airport and gave us a full day tour of all the highlights. We would not have known where to go without her guidance, and she gave us so much information about what we were seeing. The highlight was definitely going inside the volcano – definitely a must do!! She was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and made the whole day very enjoyable. She catered the day to what we were after and gave exactly how much time we wanted in each location. Highly recommend!

Carolina was above and beyond expectations. We only had a day on the island and wanted to have a tour to see it. It was extremely short notice but she accommodated us and promptly picked us up in the hotel. For half a day we saw the historic Uneaco town Angra de Heroísmo, several prominent viewpoints with fantastic sweeping views over the whole Island and Atlantic Ocean, windmil operation, had a great sandwich coffee and sweets in a small cafe, went to the park, went to the unique and fantastic lava tube where lava from the major volcano eruption created fascinating cathedral domes, and even at the request of my wife on a short notice visited her dad’s working farm where he was milking his cows and let my wife milk her own glass of milk! (My wife wanted to try a glass of raw milk from under the cow! ) Carolina spent extra hour to hour and a half with us and we were happy to tip her on top of her regular fee -$55 euros per person per four hours for a highly professional and pleasant tour. Her price was competitive with the large public tour groups and we had a great private service for our money. I highly recommend to book with her and to enjoy a wonder tour in her comfortable electric VW bus!

What an amazing day! Carolina is so knowledge of the island from it's heritage, farming, natural beauty, local great spots and more. We hiked to waterfalls, went into the volcano, visited Mount Brazil, the farm land, and had an amazing 4 course lunch at Ti Choa. Do yourself and family a favor and skip the big bus companies. This is the real way to see Terceira!

Carolina was wonderful! She took us to the most amazing spots in the island, even into a dormant volcano! She’s very knowledgeable about all things Tercerra. She answered any and all questions we threw at her and kept it all very interesting! Aside from being knowledgeable, she was also extremely kind, sweet and flexible. By then end of our tour she felt like family. I highly recommend booking a tour with Azorica Tours! You won’t be sorry!
