Ce matin, route plus au nord jusqu'à la frontière de Preah Vihear et Siem Reap. Nous nous dirigeons ensuite vers la brousse jusqu'à la capitale isolée d'Angkor, Koh Ker, un site angkorien au nord du Cambodge, à 70 miles au nord-est de Siem Reap. elle fut brièvement la capitale de l'empire khmer entre 928 et 944 sous le roi Jayavarman IV et son fils Hasavarman II. Après l'établissement de l'empire khmer dans la région d'Angkor (Roluos), Jayavarman IV déplaça la capitale en 928 à Koh Ker. Ici, un grand nombre de temples furent construits sous son règne, jusqu'à ce que son successeur revienne dans la région d'Angkor une vingtaine d'années plus tard. Le site de Koh Ker est dominé par le Prasat Thom, un temple-montagne de 30 mètres de haut s'élevant au-dessus de la plaine et de la forêt environnante.

Pierre is an extremely pleasant guide, he explains very well the sites and their history as well as the local daily life. Always very punctual and smiling, we really liked his my professionalism and his proposals to adapt our circuit to our desires and the heat. On Driver Michel was also very pro. We had Pierre four days with visits to the main sites around Siem Riep, a market visit and cooking classes. A wonder!!!! Stolen from the jungle that for centuries has hidden the grandeur of this site. I visited 12 temples from the largest and most iconic to as many fascinating for their history. It is a tiring visit definitely and if the temperature is the humidity are high the pleasure of discovery must be earned
