Le temple Wat Phra That Doi Suthep est le monument le plus célèbre de Chiang Mai, en Thaïlande, qui contient les saintes reliques du Seigneur Bhuddha dans la pagode d'or, construite par l'ancienne dynastie du royaume Lanna appelée Mangrai en 1367-1388. Le temple est situé au sommet d'une colline à 1 010 mètres d'altitude d'où l'on peut voir la vue sur toute la charmante ville de Chiangmai, entourée de montagnes verdoyantes. De plus, voyant comment les bouddhistes thaïlandais locaux traitent et pratiquent traditionnellement dans le temple, les moines bénissent les gens et découvrent les merveilleuses philosophies du bouddhisme.
Explorez le paisible temple caché qui est un temple forestier niché dans les montagnes sur le chemin de Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, de vieilles structures en pierre, des sculptures complexes, des escaliers, des statues de naga et de Bouddha parsèment le terrain calme, et une passerelle au-dessus d'une cascade faite de dalles de pierre offre une vue parfaite sur Chiang Mai. Le temple n’était pratiquement pas visité avant 2018, mais la nouvelle de sa beauté s’est répandue parmi les voyageurs et les expatriés, et maintenant le chemin des moines (le chemin forestier qui va de la ville au temple) est devenu un secret de polichinelle.
Aventurez-vous en grimpant comme un homme-araignée le long de l'incroyable cascade de calcaire appelée « Bua Thong », qui est un endroit incroyablement cool à découvrir lorsque vous êtes à Chiang Mai. L'eau ici jaillit d'une source naturelle et contient des niveaux si élevés de minéraux dissous qu'elle recouvre les roches et les racines des arbres sur lesquels elle coule d'un calcaire à haute traction. Ils l'appellent les « Sticky Falls » parce que la pierre a tellement d'adhérence. C’est une cascade et on dirait qu’elle devrait être glissante, donc vos yeux n’arrivent pas à y croire quand vous voyez des gens marcher facilement sur les rochers escarpés. Ici, vous pouvez grimper partout dans la cascade et aller où vous voulez. C'est tellement amusant ici et c'est un endroit idéal pour prendre des photos vraiment sympas.
Retour à Chiang Mai en 1h20 de route et déposez le voyageur à l'hôtel.

We booked this tour as an excursion for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time! Our tour guide, M, was so knowledgeable and helped ensure we got a ton of pictures to capture our trip. The day was very relaxed, fun, and we stopped at a great lunch spot for some local Thai food. Would definitely recommend!

We had a great day. Our tour guide, Nui, was kind, helpful and knowledgable. He explained the importance and history of the temples and the meaning of the symbols and statues. He explained points of interest during the drive and was concerned about our comfort. The waterfall was so fun and Nui was with us the whole time, making sure we were safe and taking the best route. I highly recommend this tour.

Highly tecommended! Our guide, Nui, was wonderful - friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. The two temples are both beautiful, in completely different ways - even our kids loved seeing them - and outside the city so more relaxed. And the Bua Tong "sticky waterfall" (which Nui does with you) is SO much fun - our teen and pre-teen had a blast.

This was a great full day adventure! The “M” was our private guide. During our tour he was very informative, he had a great knowledge of the places we visited. During the drives he answered all our questions about the country, history, culture, religious, education, etc. He provided great recommendations for meals after our tour and even stopped at an ATM for us and asked if there was anything other stop we needed to make. Lunch was wonderful. We chose the traditional lanna set and M helped us choose the most delicious pieces. His vehicle was new, roomy, comfortable and clean. He was a great driver and great care of us all day.
