Definitely recommend doing while in Rio. The hike up to the rock is not bad at all. The tour and guide was awesome.

Description
Située dans la zone ouest de Rio, Pedra do Telégrafo est devenue célèbre pour les diverses possibilités de ses photos dans une vue paradisiaque prise du bout d'un rocher, provoquant admiration, sensation d'adrénaline, courage et émerveillement. L'expérience est contemplée par une visite panoramique des plages sauvages de Rio où se situe le plus grand quartier de la ville dans un mélange de nature, d'urbanisme et d'architecture. Le Tour a un parcours d'environ 50 minutes à travers la forêt.

Appalling treatment, no humanity, do not book
Absolutely shocked by the way we were treated in the tour to Pedra do Telégrafo this morning by tour guide Rodrigo. He was was extremely short and rude, drove like a maniac through the corners up from Grumari to Guaratiba. My daughter vomited minutes after I asked him to slow down, we were in the back seat swishing around after having had breakfast. He told me not to worry that he was “the son of [presumably a Brazilian race pilot]”. She vomited and he did not offer any apologies, instead wanted us to carry on with the tour and I don’t even know, get back in the car seat covered in vomit? At no time he even got out of the car to check in on us and offer assistance, he was angry and kept telling me there were other passengers and the tour needed to carry on for them, that if I didn’t want to join I could just order an uber! This tour is far away and my internet wasn’t working. He took off to call the company and again, returned no apology. When I told him he was being equivocal, he said I should not mind him so much and instead “worry about my daughter”. This was appalling to hear as a mother! If it wasn’t for my own planning and suggestion that he share his internet to order an uber I feel he would have left me there with my child feeling ill to sort myself out. I honestly have never been so mistreated in a tour in my life. To top it all of, I contacted the company promptly after arriving back home and I am yet to get any reply whatsoever. No kindness or compassion or humanity from this man, not to mention he was legimately driving like a lunatic through corner and speeding past 70km per hour on a road that is partly cobblestone. Honestly, we just wanted to connect with nature, this was so sad for us.

Guide Micaela very kind and attentive, driver Eliberto also very friendly and drives very well. The trail is exhausting but compensates for the view. I recommend!

If you’re not fit, you should probably skip this tour. The hike up was a journey. If you’re really into fitness then definitely do it and the view at the top is spectacular
