Bien qu'il y ait divers points de repère historiques en Arménie, le plus ancien et le plus connu est probablement le Mont Ararat biblique. Le monastère de Tatev, qui était autrefois le centre éducatif et spirituel de l'Arménie, est un endroit incontournable en Arménie. Il est construit sur un haut plateau dans la gorge de la rivière Vorotan et est entouré de montagnes à couper le souffle et de forêts denses. Le monastère de Khor Virap est situé à environ une heure de route de la capitale Erevan et offre une vue imprenable sur le symbole déterminant de l'Arménie - le majestueux Ararat. «Khor Virap» se traduit par «donjon profond», et a été construit à l'endroit de l'ancienne prison royale, située sur le site historique d'Artashat. C'était cette prison même dans laquelle ils ont gardé Grégoire l'Illuminateur, le premier Catholicos arménien, pendant 13 ans. Par conséquent, il n'est pas surprenant que cet endroit soit l'un des endroits les plus sacrés pour les Arméniens du monde entier. De même, c'est aussi le point le plus proche du mont Ararat depuis l'Arménie; très souvent cet endroit devient la raison numéro 1 pour visiter notre pays!
La visite vous mènera à la grotte aux oiseaux. En 2008, les archéologues ont découvert plusieurs des objets les plus anciens du monde, notamment une chaussure en cuir et une cave. Le site, surplombant la rivière Arpa près de la ville d'Areni, est revendiqué à ce jour principalement à l'âge du bronze ancien (il y a environ 5000 à 6000 ans). Il contient également des preuves de rituels funéraires élaborés et de pratiques agricoles.
Mis à part Khor Virap, un autre endroit à ne pas manquer est Noravank. C'est l'un des joyaux de l'architecture arménienne médiévale, niché au milieu des superbes falaises rouge brique au bout du canyon de Gnishik. Ici, vous verrez la seule et unique représentation de Dieu le Père en Arménie, qui est tout aussi étonnante que le visage de Jésus-Christ qui est apparu sur le dôme du narthex de l'Église. Construit par des nobles orbeliens, il se distingue parmi nos églises comme le sépulcre de cette noble famille, ce qui le rend unique car il était absolument interdit d'enterrer des personnes à l'intérieur d'une église depuis le 5ème siècle.
Le plus long téléphérique du monde (environ 6 km), inscrit au livre des records Guinness en 2010. Pendant votre balade, vous profiterez d'une vue spectaculaire sur l'un des plus beaux endroits d'Arménie (sinon le monde).

The tour guide is very professional and very atmospheric, making it easy for everyone to interact. The car is comfortable, it is worth visiting the place, and finally go to a place selling Portuguese wine to try wine, although not my favorite taste, but still can try it, the price is reasonable.

We had a small group with Anastasia and she treated us like family. She was engaged, educational, and funny. Edgar our driver was quite impressive. The sights were stunning and the wine tasting was fun and not too long after lunch. And the spot we stop at for lunch is absolutely beautiful, on a small lake. Would do a tour with this group again!

Recently we were on 4 excursions from this agency, visited Khor Virap and Noravanka (03.04), Delijan and Lake Sevan (05.04), Garni and Gegard (09.04) and cable car in Tatev (11.04). We were very pleased. Liked the comfortable minibuses, treats and attitude in general. We even asked once to change our schedule for two tours and the agency was happy to help us. All the guides did well, especially remember Naira Vardanyan, Jasmine and Sona. Separately I want to note Naira V. - she tried to make the stay of all tourists comfortable, suggested beautiful locations for the photo and helped with any questions. We were very lucky to take her on two tours out of four. P.S. On the bus, seats are allocated on the basis of "first come, first come, best seat", so if you do not want to sit at the end - just come to the meeting in advance. P.P.S.
