Andre gave us a wonderful tour of Terragona and Sitges. Andre picked us up at our hotel and drove us to our destinations. Along the way he gave us histories of the towns, the people who came to live here dating back to the time when the Romans concorded the area. He also took us to a lovely restaurant in Terragona. I would book more tours with him. I highly recommend a tour with Andre.
This was an amazing tour! Our guide was so knowledgeable, personable, and was always asking what he could do to make our experience even better. He should’ve been a historian! He gave us great lessons in the history of the region!
I’ve been hesitating to write a review, but this experience keeps coming up in the conversations with the friends we went with and we all agree it needs to be reviewed. Upon meeting our guide, we wasted at least 30 minutes while he got coffee and a pastry, even though we were ready to start. The drive was probably the scariest drive ever as the guide would turn around and look at us in the backseat to talk while driving on the highway. His driving was pretty erratic, and we all felt extremely unsafe. I won’t go into every detail, but while our guide was very knowledgeable in history, he would go on and on so long that we would all lose interest because he could not walk and talk at the same time, so we would be standing in one spot for 30 to 40 minutes while he explained something, therefore we felt like we missed out on a lot. We wanted to actually go on the ruins, but he only had us look at it from afar. I did ask if we could go see the ruins closer and he said yes, but just walked us to a different angle. We would’ve paid to go on the ruins, but he said we did not have time (because he wasted so much time). He also took a couple of smoke breaks and we had to stand and wait for him during those times. Also, during lunch, we were all finished, and I understand Europeans have a different way of eating (slower and taking their time), but he told us more about his personal life, which is fine, however, we were ready to continue on our tour, but we sat there for over an hour while he talked about himself. We had to prompt him to get up to go so we could proceed. In the end, none of us felt like we got a whole lot out of the tour and really felt we missed out on a ton of stuff because of the time he wasted. We have gone on many guided tours before and this by far was the worst we have ever been on. My husband and I were the ones that booked the tour. It was so bad that we refused payment from our friends for their portion because we felt so bad at how awful it was. The towns were stunning and definitely worth going to, but the guide pretty much ruined the day for us.
Somebody must really hate you if he hangs out and entire day with you without any sign of criticism to stab you in the back months later. I usually don't debate with any of my clients about unjustified accusations since the timeline and the attractions are perfectly indicated in the tour description. I am always at the pick-up location in time and as a European adult I only have to justify consumption of tobacco toward myself. After 4 decades of driving and some millions of miles I am still alive and my speeding tickets are very seldom. My tours are clearly focussed on individual travellers with passion for history, culture, arts and cuisine and if my guests prefer a superficial hop-on, hop-off experience I am just not their supplier. And as a fair player I fully recompense everyone who does not like me as a person or who does not like the tour package as such. And I do it for my own sake, too as I am wealthy enough to join those fellows I like to and who deserve me and refuse those with whom there is no chemistry. However, hanging out with a person a whole day without complaining and endangering somebody's business with disastrous comments exposes my clients' lack of nobility and somehow their comment should also prove that the other statements here are no bots created by AI.
Guide was very knowledgeable. Explained a lot about what we were seeing and the history. Many excellent locales.
Good time and a great history lesson! The day went as planned and it was a very smooth experience. Thank you.
A truly delightful day out with Andre, whose encyclopedic knowledge of history made our brief visits to Tarragona and Sitges very enlightening and special.
Fantastic tour! Andre’s knowledge, insights, and passion for Tarragona and Sitges were top notch. He has a phenomenal way of simplifying the complex to make it meaningful- I learned a ton and saw some of the most amazing sites I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend this tour!!
Andre did an amazing job explaining the history of Spain along the tour. Tarragon and Sitges were both amazing to experience.
Awesome guide who was very knowledgeable on historical facts and connecting the cities to how they are today. Visited two cities and were back to hotel on time
Andres was so knowledgeable and showed us a great time in Tarragona and Sitges. Each stop on the tour was better than the next!! Highly reccomend.
