La médina, ou vieille ville, de Tanger est un musée à ciel ouvert. C'est un labyrinthe de ruelles à la fois commerciales et résidentielles. Il vaut la peine d'explorer les nombreux petits magasins et étals proposés pour tout acheter, des bijoux marocains aux fruits de mer frais, ou simplement pour s'imprégner de l'atmosphère de cette fascinante ville africaine.
La Casbah de Tanger, classée au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO, est la partie la plus ancienne de cette ville animée et son cœur historique. C'est une maison de ville marocaine traditionnelle dans le quartier médina de Tanger. Il s'agit d'un complexe fortifié aux allures de forteresse qui contraste fortement avec les espaces ouverts des souks ou marchés de la ville.
La grotte d'Hercule se trouve à 10 minutes à pied de la côte, dans les collines surplombant Tanger. La grotte, aujourd'hui effondrée et recouverte d'une colline de sable, était autrefois utilisée comme lieu de rencontre secret par des contrebandiers et des pirates du monde entier. C'est la première et la seule grotte au monde avec des galeries habitées sans interruption depuis plus de 40 000 ans. Dès la fin mai, partez à la découverte de cette merveille naturelle de la nature.
La Grande Mosquée de Tanger fut la première mosquée du Maroc, une merveille architecturale et un monument historique au cœur de la vieille ville. Aujourd’hui inscrit au patrimoine national, il reste l’une des attractions touristiques les plus populaires du pays et un symbole de la ville. La mosquée a été fondée en 859 sur le site d’une ancienne église transformée en lieu de culte après l’arrivée de Mahomet au Maroc. Depuis, elle a été reconstruite et rénovée à plusieurs reprises et est aujourd'hui connue sous le nom de Grande Mosquée El-Mansouria. La visite se fait de l'extérieur.

Samir was an amazing tour guide. He spoke great English and gave us a lot of information about tangier. He took us around all the markets and historic places. We had an amazing meal, rid camels, fed wild boars and saw lots of wild cats!!

Our tour began very early with a on time pickup at our Malaga hotel. The car was nice and driver professional. The driver dropped us off at the ferry and we were able to use the provided voucher number to get our tickets. The only ferry issue we experienced was recognizing the line to get our passports stamped. If you wait too long to get in line you may still be waiting after the ferry docks in Tangier. Our guide, Samir, and driver, Mustafa, showed us a thorough view of the natural, cultural, and historical sides it Tangier. We had some event requests which were delivered. Samir took us to lunch at a restaurant frequented by locals and we ate a number of Moroccan dishes with portions too large to finish. We really enjoyed our time with them. The trip back on the ferry was easy and a driver was waiting to meet us when we arrived I at the terminal. A very full day and worth every minute.

This tour was AMAZING! Our guide, Samir Filali was phenomenal, as well as Mohammed, our driver. They were so professional, well informed, personable, and truly provided a wonderful excursion and a memory we will keep for years to come. Samir's deep knowledge of the country, its people, and its history added a rich layer to your journey, making him more than just a guide but someone who felt like family. Pros: the private transport to and from the port was seamless, Samir and Mohammed were helpful and informative, the restaurant and meal were spectacular, the camel ride along the beach was truly a once-in-a-lifetime, ample opportunity for shopping/ haggling. Cons: picking up the ferry in Tarifa was a nightmare, as the FRS Iberia/Maroc, Tarifa Port lost our ticket reservation (this was in no way a reflection of the tour company or guides). Experiencing all that Morocco has to offer through a small group private tour made a HUGE difference, as we were able to move through the attractions and sights at our own pace, with easy access to our guide for questions and picture opportunities. I would absolutely recommend this tour to everyone!

Exquisite treatment by the guides. Yamal, lovely. It was a short time in Tetouan but we will return soon to visit the Medina.
We did not go on the tour because our driver that was supposed to pick us up at our hotel at 6:30 AM never showed up. He apparently came at 9:30 AM as the hotel clerk called us. We were scared to go because we were afraid our tour guide in Morocco would’ve thought we not coming. We are asking for a full refund
Hello Mr Robert Anderson. Your message is in complete BAD FAITH and we are very surprised how you can deliberately lie this way. Let’s explain the whole situation. The tour was scheduled for 6:30am. Three days before the tour, we contacted you due to a change in the ferry times because a ferry broke down. We have you two options available and YOU CHOSE the 9am option. The day before; May 1st, we reconfirm the service and you were aware of everything, even responded to our email. You even had Viator contact us on your behalf to confirm the time and details as well as a question about the vaccination. Then, you contacted Viator at 22:30 (10:30pm) the night before the tour, and decided that you had a “medical emergency” and wanted to cancel and receive a refund. We kindly explained than less than 11 hours prior to the tour date and time, this is not possible. When you decide to book your tour, you have the cancellation policy and you have when you receive a free cancellation. If you decide to cancel less than 11 hours prior because you don’t FEEL like going or because of “medical emergency” then I’m sorry, no refund is possible. We explained this and you seemed to accept it. When the driver arrived 10.5 hours later, you didn’t say anything about the time, being scared, this is a COMPLETE LIE, how can you say that? You didn’t even pick up the phone when we called you. You told the driver “we have cancelled this tour, please go”. And now you say that you were scared?? Very surprising Mr Anderson! Luckily we have it all writing. This is bad faith and really demonstrates the kind of person you are. In any case, if any future traveler has any doubts or questions regarding Mr Anderson and his families trip or any other question regarding the Tangier tour from Malaga or Marbella, please contact us directly. Our driver from Malaga to the ferry in Tarifa was on time and friendly, and the vehicle was clean and comfortable for our group of four. After the ferry ride, we spent an enjoyable and informative six hours touring Tangier with our guide Samir. He took us to all the important sites sharing his extensive knowledge of Tangier and its history and culture. We felt safe with him and our driver Mohammed from the minute we met them. We enjoyed his company and sense of humor. Our day included a drive through several different areas of the city to get a flavor for modern Tangier, the Caves of Hercules, a short camel ride on the beach, walking tour of the markets and streets of the Kasbah and Medina, and a delicious lunch at La Terraza de la Medina. The museum in the former sultan’s palace was closed on the day we visited (a Tuesday). We recommend our booking company, Tour Travel and More.
