Our tour guide Kumiko was phenomenal. One of the best we have ever had. So knowledgeable and friendly. Showed us the best areas of Takayama. She gave us great cafe and restaurant recommendations. I definitely recommend anyone to go on a tour with Kumiko. She went out of her way to make sure we had a phenomenal experience.

What an incredible day with Kumiko. She was so informative, full of energy and kindness, and has spent most of her life in Takayama which is always helpful for a tour guide. She tailored the tour to my personal interests and showed me her favorite historical places, food stalls and shops. If you are fortunate maybe you will get to see her artistic skills! I only wish the tour had been longer or that we could have spent more time together. Such a treat and highly recommend!

Kumiko was our guide around Takayama today. We visited the Morning Market, Festive Floats, shrine and Takayama Old Town. Her manner was so delightful, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She made our visit a highlight of our travels here in Japan. Takayama Tours is a must use!!! Thank you Kimiko.

We had a very comprehensive tour. Our guide Kumico was excellent. She had "teaching aids" like photos, charts or videos. Was very kind and polite, answered patiently to every question. She made us want to come again to Takayama. To my opinion visiting Takayama without a guide will not give you a proper value. I am not familiar with the other guids but I can highly recommand Kumico.

I had Kumiko as my guide and she was fantastic, knowledgeable and incredibly kind. She was very engaging and her own binders of information made all of the stories easier to understand and fun to learn. She's an amazing artist and can quickly draw and create such cute things for you. I totally love my Kaonishi drawing! 😁

Our guide was engaging and kind. She knew about the history of Geisha and Samurai cultures as well as modern Kanazawa. We enjoyed our 1/2 day trip so much. Don’t forget your umbrella

A very nice tour with our guide Mrs. Kayo Iida in Kanazawa. We visit Kanazawa Castle Park and the Samurai district. We also visit a factory where they paint silk for kimono’s and other articles.

Kumiko Mitsuhata (Ku) was an amazing guide for our half day tour of Takayama. She adjusted the itinerary and worked magic to get us on buses to our next destination the following day due to train cancellations, even going back to our hotel to leave information there for us. We saw the main sites with her and she showed us where to see the other sites on our own later that day. She was bubbly and full of energy and also does amazing calligraphy and she enhanced our experience hugely. Thank you very much Ku, from Pat, Julie and Paul.

INCREDIBLE MUST DO! Kumiko was exceptional! She brought so much energy to the tour, she made everything personal to us, showed genuine interest in learning about us and asking questions and made sure everywhere we went the vendors knew we were on our honeymoon which made for lots of celebration and congratulations. She was about to talk us through so much of Takayama’s history and the food was to die for! Will be recommending this tour just specifically Kumiko to all our friends. 🌸

Kumiko worked very hard to make sure we had a great day. We asked if we could visit a Wagyu farm and she arranged a visit immediately. It was a wonderful visit. She also took us to a really cool cave in the mountains and showed us some great shops and places to eat. She is incredible and I would recommend her to anyone.
