Jack picked us up at directly at port. Was only our group of 4 so very pleasant. Guide let us decide how much time we wanted to spend at each stop. Tour and guide were excellent. Took us to all points included on tour plus a few extra stops since we were running quicker than expected.
The tour operator for Table Mountain-Wines-Penguins-Cape Point All Inclusive Group Tour cancelled our booking four days before the tour date. AT THE TIME WE HAD NO INTERNET so were unaware until one day before the tour date. No reason was given. UNACCEPTABLE!
Our guide Paul was AMAZING.. polite , professional & knowledgeable. Nothing was too much for him. If i could recommend him to everyone visiting Cape Town I certainly would. 10/10 Excellent
The tour was relatively good. Got picked up on time and enjoyed the sights and sounds. It was only my sister and I. Traffic was a bit hectic since it was December 31st. At Table mountain national park we got to experience the most beautiful scenery, we even came across a family of baboons and some ostriches. One highlight was the ocean and mountain views at Cape Point and I definitely would recommend the pizzas at the two oceans restaurant. Other than that We were pressed for time and we did feel a little rushed. We did not manage to finish the tour since we could not go up the cable cars at Table Mountain as the Queues were too long, we decided to go by ourselves on another day as out tickets were available for the next 7 days.
We picked a small group trip rather than private because that was our preferred choice. Instead we got a car for the two of us, a driver we could not hear most of the time as of course he was facing forward and talking to the windscreen, and we were in the back. This is when he actually said anything at all which was not often. In reality, we were just driven around looking at the views. The hop on off off bus we did the day after was a million times better, and an awful lot cheaper. The driver did ask if we wanted somewhere booking for lunch and we said no, we didn't generally eat lunch. We got to the vineyard to find that he had booked us in, and we then felt obliged to fork out more money. We could not do Table Mountain as it was closed, which is not an issue in itself. The issue is that we complained about the trip and they refunded us approx £20 each, from a trip that cost £152 each and that included the refund for the Table Mountain ticket. They agreed that we did not get what we booked, but then Viator say they have no responsibility and refuse to negotiate or provide details of complaints escalation policy. Rip off trip, appalling customer service.
Dear customer As you may know, this product is a small group tour and this tour does have a minimum amount of 2 guests minimum to join for departure. It is unfortunate that on the day we only had the couple on the tour and did not have any reason to reschedule for a different day as the tour was specificaly booked for that day. Despite the above,we have noted the customers concerns and we have agreed to processed a partial refund which was processed on the 24th january 2020 as advised to the customer.
Had a great day with our driver Chris who was really friendly and knowledgeable. Chris had done his homework so ordered the trip to ensure we missed most of the big queues Finished off at Table Mountain wheee the quested to go up had mostly disappeared but did take a long time queuing to get back down We’d definitely highly recommend this trip
Did not provide wine tasting. Winery had been booked for private party. We were taken to winery and then informed not available. This was just a long car ride with a few stops and little information. We could have gotten a free map and used Uber. Better option is using Hop on Hop off bus. Buy ticket online snd get discount. I’ll never use this company again.
This tour was booked on the 25th December which most, if not all wineries were closed. We refunded the wine tasting amount after the tour in cash however you were not happy with the amount. We then offered a complimentary half day wine tour based on your availability which you agreed to then later refused and requested the amount of a half day tour per person which was not fair as we mentioned it was complimentary and to make up for the closed winery on the day of your tour. It is such a pity that you feel that the closed wine estate made your overall trip a bad experience when you wrote to us on email that you had a great trip.
Paul picked us up on time from our hotel and dedicated the entire day to us, showing us Cape Hope, Table Mountain, and our wine tasting for lunch with a breathtaking view. He was very knowledgeable on all of the areas that we explored and we even got to ride in style in the Benz. It was a very inclusive day as we hit most of the major spots around the outskirts of Cape Town as well as areas within. Paul was very attentive to detail and making sure we were comfortable. I would consider this tour one of the best bangs for the buck that we did while in Cape Town. It was also very nice as it was just my girlfriend and I on the tour so it was very personal and a wonderful experience. Traffic got a little backed up on the last stop we were going to make and since we ran out of time to do the cable car Paul was a great guy and offered to pick us up at our convenience a few days later to complete the cable car tour! I highly recommend Paul and this tour, you will not regret it! The views are amazing!
Fantastic full day tour yesterday with Chris. Everything you would want to see in the one day and plenty of time to explore each... boulders beach, cape of good hope, cape point, table mountain, penguins at boulders beach and wine tasting. Perfect day and great guide.. just the two of us with Chris in a nice clean air conditioned car. Would recommend this trip to all.
The tour was just me and my mom so it felt like a personal tour. We have an AMAZING tour guide, Alain. He was very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. We even went out of his way at the end of the day for us which we appreciated. He carried out the whole tour till the end and even managed to beat the crowds for each location. Great planning on his part which made the tour go smooth. We managed to capture all of the iconic places in Cape Town. I'd def recommend this tour for all first experiencers. If anyone plans to go to Cape Town, I would be happy to share Alains contact info.
