Après le château de Visegrád, entrez dans la réserve de biosphère de Pilis, où les ruisseaux, les cascades et les lacs à truite créent un cadre paisible – et essayez la truite locale ou le gibier dans un restaurant forestier confortable. À Szentendre, déambulez dans des rues pavées bordées de galeries et de boutiques d'artisans, et visitez le célèbre musée Marzipan avec ses étonnantes créations sucrées grandeur nature. Szentendre est une ville historique avec des rues pavées, une architecture baroque et une scène artistique animée. Installée par divers peuples au fil des siècles, elle est devenue un centre important pour les réfugiés serbes au XVIIe siècle, qui ont laissé derrière eux un héritage orthodoxe distinctif. Aujourd'hui, ses musées, ses galeries et sa promenade sur le Danube en font une destination de prédilection pour les visiteurs intéressés par la culture et l'histoire.
Le château de Visegrád en Hongrie est le rêve d'un passionné d'histoire/amoureux de la nature. Combinant une impressionnante citadelle du XIIIe siècle avec une vue imprenable sur le Danube, cette étape est une excellente occasion d'explorer le passé royal de la Hongrie et de prendre des photos incroyables du coude du Danube. On peut même y voir une exposition de figures de cire de la célèbre réunion de 1335 de trois rois. (Veuillez noter qu'entre le 12 janvier et le 28 février, le château n'est ouvert que les vendredis, samedis et dimanches.)
Dominant Esztergom, en Hongrie, la basilique d'Esztergom est un spectacle à voir. En tant que plus grande église du pays, elle bénéficie d'une conception néoclassique grandiose, d'un dôme massif visible à des kilomètres, et d'une riche histoire. Construite à l'emplacement d'églises antérieures datant du roi Étienne Ier, elle est le siège de l'Église catholique en Hongrie et offre une vue imprenable et un lien profond avec l'histoire hongroise. Le château d'Esztergom, à côté de la basilique, était la résidence royale et le centre politique et religieux de la Hongrie du règne de Saint Étienne jusqu'au milieu du XIIIe siècle.
Depuis Esztergom, nous traverserons brièvement la Slovaquie pour une vue parfaite sur la basilique et la vieille ville.
Pour ceux que cela intéresse, le musée Marzipan de Szentendre présente l’art de ce doux métier, avec des sculptures grandeur nature de Lady Diana, Michael Jackson et de nombreuses autres figures de l’histoire, des dessins animés et de la nature. Observez les maîtres confiseurs à l'œuvre qui façonnent les bonbons en art comestible, rendant la visite à la fois amusante et éducative - et bien sûr savoureuse.
Visegrad possède un joyau caché: la réserve de biosphère de Pilis, un parc national au sein du parc national. C'est une région pittoresque caractérisée par sa végétation unique, ses ruisseaux sinueux, ses cascades et ses lacs sereins regorgeant de truites. Vous pourrez profiter de l'expérience unique de déguster des truites fraîchement préparées, pêchées tout droit de ces lacs, ou du gibier des forêts environnantes, dans un restaurant forestier confortable niché au milieu des arbres (le restaurant est fermé les mardis et mercredis, mais il y a beaucoup d'autres options de déjeuner disponibles à proximité).

Je vous rejoins à l'entrée de votre hôtel ou de votre logement à l'heure de prise en charge convenue. L'heure de début standard est 9:00 AM, mais cela peut être ajusté à votre préférence. L'heure exacte de prise en charge (dans la fenêtre 8h30-10h00) sera confirmée la veille de la visite.

We booked our Danube bend day trip from Budapest with Tamas during the historical heat wave, with temperatures over 100 degrees F. Despite the heat, tamas picked us up from our hotel and gave us a wonderful day trip, with a slower pace. He was very patient with my 3 yr old toddler (and even bought a new car seat to accommodate her age and size) and grandparents we were traveling with. At the end of the day, my daughter was commenting how nice and kind he was. He provided us with great local snacks and drinks all day (kept ice cold in his fridge cooler). He always made sure to start the car ac ahead of time to keep us comfortable. He explained so much Hungarian history because we were interested and toured us around the sites so we could do the highlights efficiently. We got to see so much in a day and he never made us feel rushed at all. We loved his story telling and his kindness. The price seemed steep but in the end I’m glad we felt we got our money’s worth even during the heat wave.

Tamas, our guide was very kind he brought snacks and beverages we never got hungry. He even allowed us to take photos in a sunflower field which is not part of the tour😅The tour went smoothly and we covered every key point in the tour. Tamas was like my history teacher, important eras in Europe history from Atilla Hun to the Romans, kings and queens, betrayals, buried treasures, Dracula and whatnot were discussed Tamas was talking the whole day!😅 This is a “must do” when in Budapest, seeing the scenic Danube and walking thru it’s beautiful and historic streets and old town squares.

Tamas was our tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about the country’s history and told us a lot during the tour. He was very friendly and offered us choices during the tour according to our interest and time schedule. The 3 cities visited during the tour had important history in the country and views were great too. Overall, we had great time in the private tour.
