This was a wonderful two hour trip. Joe was incredibly knowledgeable, pointing out wildlife along the way and advising us on how to navigate the mangrove tunnels. We didn't feel rushed and he followed our lead - allowing us plenty of time to wait and watch for the manatees to pop back up. He even tried to catch some fish at the end to share with our girls. We would highly recommend this trip, especially with Joe.
We went on a sunset plus bioluminescence tour with Fin expeditions in Cocoa Beach. Our guide, Ian, was fantastic. My son said it was his favorite tour guide he's ever met. He truly took the time to talk with us for two hours explain everything about the mangroves, the manatees, the dolphins the snake birds, the different type of birds, the jumping fish, what makes the water light up with bioluminescence. So thank you Ian for a great time! 5 stars!
This tour group had fantastic communication, top notch equipment and experienced guides. The tour was fun and the guide energetic and kept us entertained. I highly recommend Ian and likely anyone else in this group.
We had a phenomenal tour of the mangroves. Ian was an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable and told us all about the animals and the lagoon. We highly recommend this experience!!!
Remarkable and amazing! We were so lucky to see a ton of manatees which were beautiful gentle giants. The mangrove tunnels are gorgeous and so peaceful. Sunset did not disappoint and just made the trip end on a perfect note. Special thanks to Joe who was so knowledgeable and patient with our questions!!! He was a fantastic guide and we would love to join him for a sunrise tour next time!
This is an absolute must do! Our guide, Caleb, was super friendly and knowledgeable. We had an awesome evening!
Caleb was a great guide. He is knowledgeable and there was no pressure to go faster or slow down. We got to stop and just watch the dolphins multiple times on the trip.
Tour wasn’t great. We only spotted 1 dolphin and nothing but birds. This is not the fault of the tour operators or guide, but without interesting things to see, it’s just a 2 hour kayak trip. It was actually quite strenuous and not ideal for first time kayakers, despite what the site advertised. Went as a family and the kids didn’t enjoy it. The mangrove tunnels were very difficult to navigate with the paddle length in tight spaces. Definitely wear bug spray!
Thank you for joining us but we're sorry that you were disappointed in your excursion. The Thousand Islands Conservation area is a diverse, natural ecosystem. While dolphins and manatees can often be the highlight of a tour they sometimes can prove elusive. Still, most of our guests - including first time paddlers of all ages - seem to find the other wonders of the area, including mangroves, other wildlife and gentle waters to be both interesting and relaxing. We hope you'll give our eco tours another chance, perhaps checking out a bioluminescence tour in the summer.
Everything was perfect for this beautiful kayaking experience with the Caleb guide. He provided interesting information about the lagoon. The narrow passages in the mangroves were really cool! I recommend.
What a wonderful experience! Our tour guide, Caleb was absolutely wonderful! He knew so much about the area, and answered all of my silly questions. He made the tour so fun, and relaxing. We did see a few dolphins at the end of the trip, tons of birds (amazing birds I can’t name them all but wow!) no manatees, but I learned that they like warmer water :) so I’ll come back in summer and see them. Definitely recommend. Especially if you’re lucky enough to get Caleb as your guide.
