Sunset Lavender Tour d'Aix-en-Provence

Description

Most beautiful sunset scenery I’ve ever seen. (Friends says my photos must be AI because it looked unreal it was so gorgeous). Tour guide Silvio was amazing and drove all over trying to find a good place to watch sunset between storm clouds that had be following us all afternoon. Excellent experience all around
Beautiful experience! The lavender fields at sunset were breathtaking and we visited a couple of different ones with lots of time to enjoy and take photos.
Having a guide taken to the different fields and knowing which were in best bloom and at best timing was great! Our guide was friendly and I formative and we hade a wonderful time!
It was a very nice tour, our guide showed us many fields even before sunset and when it was cloudy and rainy during sunset hour, he tried to find the best lavender field possible for the views and it actually went really well. We ended up seeing the lavenders at the golden hour light with a rainbow on top of them! Thank you Silvio!
There are no words to do this justice. It was everything and more. I was truly immersed in seas of lavender, buzzing bees…butterflies…and the golden sunset. Honestly one of the highlights of my travels over the years. It was a bucket list holiday and this topped it off. Thank you.
This was a great experience and our tour guide was great! It was so wonderful to see the lavender fields and the sunflowers. And seeing them at sunset was fabulous. The stop at the farm was so nice. It was a pretty long tour and I think I would’ve preferred 4 hours in total instead of 6+ hours. It was a lovely experience and I will recommend to others.
The light of the sunset makes the lavender very much more vibrant. It is stunning! Make sure to bring bug spray, and potentially cover your ankles. I was immersed in the fields but returned with lots of bites. Also, plan the week you go to catch the lavender in full bloom, taking into account if the season has been hotter than usual hence the lavender will be harvested and cut sooner than later. we went July 12 and it was the last day before it was harvested. Next time I would go last week of june possibly. I am very interested in flowers and learned so many facts about lavender. I loved this! Friends did the 9 hour day tour as well as this and preferred this. They mentioned it was very hot during the day and the lavender not as beautiful. Our tour guide was wonderful. We would most likely go again. Southern france is an about gem and cannot be missed!
It was an excellent experience. The views and scenery were spectacular. We visited a lovely village and a few shops to purchase lavender infused items. I was a solo traveler but met several people which made the trip fun. I highly recommend it.
The tour exceeded expectations. The drive was comfortable. Our tour guide had a well planned evening and provided information on the area. We were able to see how lavender is bailed and explained about the essence extraction. Each stop had excellent photo opportunities and the dusk photos are my favorite of our trip. The lavender icecream is the most amazing thing I have tasted. Thank you for a beautiful evening. We found the pick up point confusing, so suggest clarifying with your guide ahead of time
Due to large bushfire near Marseilles, pick up in Aix en Provence was delayed by 1 hour. Guide Silvio dropped by a bakery for passengers to grab some food, then drove to Valensole. Stopped at a lavender shop for some shopping before spending 30 mins in Valensole village. Valensole village was very quiet when we arrived, only a few stores and bars were open. However, we still got to try the handmade lavender ice cream which was very yummy! Around 8 pm, we started heading towards the lavender fields. We stopped at 3 different lavender fields but only got to spend around 10 to 15 mins at each field, which was a bit too rush to enjoy and take some nice pictures. Would have been better if we got to spend at least 20 mins at each field. Overall, the sunset magic hour at Valensole lavender fields is amazing!
