What a wonderful time! Very professional boat operation. The other tourists were friendly and upbeat, sharing stories about various adventures in CR. The staff helped everyone on and off the transfer boat according to their needs. The sea was choppy the day we toured, but the inlet we found to swim in was calm, the sand was white and the water a beautiful turquoise! Two other boats of tourists ended up joining us, but no one was a bother. There was a giant floating pad tied to the boat, a couple of sit-on-top plastic kayaks, and a couple of paddle boards offered. There were also pool ‘noodles’ and life vests for support. Two types of snorkeling masks were available if you wanted to swim to the rocky shore area to see puffer fish and other sea life. Once we were all back on the boat a lone sea turtle swim near by. We had delicious tacos with different salads and some sweets for lunch. They accommodate vegetarians as well. Lots of drinks offered with service so you don’t even have to bother to get up to go in for those. Everyone raved about the day!
The crew was so personable and accommodating for our party of 6. Everyone had a great time snorkeling and swimming to the beach. Great drinks and tacos including a vegi option for two of our folks. Other groups on our boat also hade a great time!
We had a great time during this excursion, captain Luis was very knowledgeable and his staff was dedicated to helping everyone. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset
My family and I had a wonderful time on the snorkeling sunset cruise. The staff were great and we felt comfortable and safe the whole time. The snorkeling wasn’t great the day we went but the water was nice and we swam to the beach the boat docked near. My daughter got to use the zayak to help her snorkel and my son used the kayak when he was done snorkeling. Life jackets and noodles were available. The food provided after snorkeling was delicious. The boat had a fun vibe with music and open bar. The sunset from the water was beautiful. I highly recommend this tour.
10/10 experience. We booked the excursion with transportation and they were very punctual. Service was amazing, they were all very nice.
The trip itself was great. The communication beforehand, with my experience, was not great. Even more importantly, the behavior of one particular staff member was not good at all. I booked my trip through TripAdvisor. My email that TripAdvisor sent was, in my mind d, the document that I needed to confirm the excursion and get the necessary details of the excursion. That information was not easily found, but once I did find it there ZERO MENTION of getting to the boat 30 minutes early. I looked at it 3 times before the day of the trip and the ONLY communication was that the trip was at 2:00 pm. I arrived 10 minutes early, and the person in charge of making sure everyone was there started frantically calling my phone on What’sApp as I was pulling up 10 minutes early. He informed that I was late, and that the whole party was waiting on us to arrive as if I was inconveniencing a boat load of people. I told him that I looked at my reservation 3 times and I saw nothing that said 1:30 and thought that I was 10 minutes early. He then proceeded to argue with me stating “Actually sir, we sent you information…” I again told him that I looked the reservation 3 times, and didn’t know what he was talking about with the What’sApp, when he again started to pull out his phone and argue with me about the situation. I finally stated that I did not want to argue with him. The reality was that he wanted to prove me wrong, and I didn’t appreciate that. Apparently 3 weeks prior, when I made the reservation, a Wha’sAPP message was sent that I glanced over and buried about two paragraphs in was a line that said be there at 1:30. There was no text sent the day before stating this, and it was NOT in my email from trip advisor. That communication could be improved on, and the boat company should teach their employees not to argue with customers and try to prove them wrong in front of a group of people. I was incredibly angered by this, and would not recommend the trip based on this customer service.
I am very sorry to learn of your experience. I understand the frustration you feel and will be addressing this directly with the individual that checked you in. It is unfortunate that the message was not clear to you and agree that the interaction you had with this staff member at the beginning of the trip would definitely be upsetting. As you have not mentioned anything about the tour itself, I am hoping that the actual tour was everything you hoped it would be if this encounter had not taken place. We pride ourselves on our service and clearly this interaction is not at the level that we expect of our staff. I assure you this will be addressed to ensure no further situations like this occur. I hope that the rest of the tour was to your liking and that you were able to enjoy the Pura Vida that Costa Rica offers.
Our catamaran sail was nice. We've taken several of these type excursions in various places around the world, and this one was alright. The snorking was not worth sticking your face in the water because there wasn't really anything to see at the location they brought us to. Drinks were good and offered throughout the journey. The food was good and plentiful, but it was served around 5 so many of us were very hungry by that time. The staff was very nice and accomodating as much as they could be.
I am really sorry that the snorkeling was not to your expectations. We search out locations that we know are safe for snorkelers and usually have the best chance of seeing ocean life. In the Pacific side, snorkeling can be tough sometimes as the pacific side of Costa Rica does not have the 'coral reef fish' that you find in the Caribbean or on the Atlantic side of the country. As the tour starts at 1:30 and ends around 6 we feel that serving food at 4 to 4:40ish is the best time to allow for everyone to enjoy water activities and early enough to finish up in time for sunset sail. As you stated we offer a large selection of food and often many travels consider this their final meal for the day. We do suggest travelers eat lunch (around noon) before they go on the tour. Thank you for taking the time to review the trip. Pura Vida
Angel and the rest of the Lazy lizard staff were wonderful! Fun tunes, plenty of drinks, a full lunch spread, paddle boarding, snorkeling, and plenty of sunset pix for all. It was easy to get picked up from our hotel in Tamarindo. Highly recommend!
Such an amazing experience! The boat was beautiful. Our crew David, Jose, and Erick were so professional, attentive, and personable. They made everything simple and really made the trip unforgettable. Food was delicious and drinks were plentiful. The sunset was incredible and Captain made sure we had an amazing view of it the whole time. So happy with this cruise. Its been the highlight of our trip. Would 100% recommend!
Thank you so much for taking the time to review your experience onboard with us. I am so excited that you had such a lovely time. I hope that we can have you onboard again. Pura Vida!
Our group of eight, including four teenage boys, had the best time on this cruise! Snorkeling was not the best but back flips off the back of the boat made up for it! Food was delicious and the crew brought the energy. The tattoos are a special touch that stay with you!!
