Randonnée à Strawberry Hill et au centre-ville de KCK

Description
The tour was informative and held at a good pace. The tour guide was friendly, as well as the other participants. Be prepared to walk up a couple of small hills and sidewalks!
What a fun way to spend the morning. We've lived in the metro for over 30 year and we learned so much and saw so many interesting sights. It was a wonderful learning experience. Even on a drizzly day, it was great. We will definitely be taking more of their hikes in the future.
Our guide was very informative and included background on the indigenous people that settled in the area, as well as the diverse ethnic groups that have come since Kansas City, Kansas' founding. There was also an emphasis on letting us know about local businesses and initiatives. I learned so much - important to understand the architecture, the history, and the dynamics of the community! I invited our two adult daughters to go with me.
Thank you so much for sharing about your experience! It warms are heart how much you took away from the Strawberry Hill and Downtown KCK Urban Hike. We look forward to seeing you and your daughters again on another urban hike!
Guide very familiar with history of area including locals who joined in commenting about their knowledge of KC Kansas, Strawberry Hill, and recent developments in the area.
Christy did an amazing job on the Strawberry Hill tour in KCK. She was knowledgeable about the history of this neighborhood, plus her personal ties and connections to the area allowed us to interact with local business owners and learn more about personal interests. If you enjoy learning about new places in an authentic way, take a tour with Urban Hikes KC ASAP!
Our tour guide was fantastic. Christy knows the area, she lives there. She loves the area and is very enthusiastic. There was much to see and learn on this very interesting tour. I highly recommend it. Its a $10 trip from KC Mo Marriott.
We're so glad that you enjoyed yourself! We really appreciate you sharing! Glad that we could be part of your KC experience!
The history behind Kansas, barbecue, delicious food, friendly people. all positive experience. Loved it! Enjoyed the walking tour and Krista I believe her name was very knowledgeable
We loved our hike with Lisa through Strawberry Hill. After living here for 30 years I had no idea there was so much history and cool little bars and restaurants up on the hill. We also really enjoyed the large murals that were everywhere and tell the history of many of the immigrants that lived there. I highly recommend this hike!
There's nothing like seeing a community at "human speed" and eye-level. Our guides, Lisa and Christy, walked us through the history and current landscape of Strawberry Hill in Kansas City, KS, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Lisa and Christy are KCK residents, but they've also done tons of research and actually gotten to know their neighbors in Strawberry Hill. The physical part of the hike was perfect for our group: the hills kept our blood pumping, and the walk included plenty of stops to catch our breath, take pictures, and soak up local culture. Our Urban Hikes KC experience was part of a team-building company outing, and we're looking forward to scheduling more excursions with UHKC.
Lisa was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. As first time visitors to KCK, we were able to experience Strawberry Hill from a locals perspective. We enjoyed learning about its history while logging some urban hiking miles. We especially appreciated hearing more about the Wyandot tribe as well as how residents of Strawberry Hill strive to make their community better.
Thank you Mike for sharing about your experience! It was so great meeting you guys on the hike! Thank you for coming out!
