Stingray City Experience Plus Deux arrêts de plongée en apnée à Grand Cayman

We had an incredible day with Captain Marvin's on the Stingray City tour with two snorkeling stops! From start to finish, everything was well organized and exceeded our expectations. A huge shoutout to Captain Aster and Jimbo—they were the perfect crew! They kept everyone laughing with their nonstop jokes while also sharing fascinating knowledge about the stingrays and each snorkeling location. Their energy, professionalism, and enthusiasm made the experience even more memorable. The courtesy shuttle from our hotel was also a fantastic addition. Our driver was friendly and punctual, making the trip to the marina completely stress-free and the perfect way to start an amazing day on the water. Swimming with the stingrays and snorkeling at the beautiful reef stops were unforgettable experiences. If you're visiting Grand Cayman, I highly recommend Captain Marvin's. Great crew, great service, and an all-around fantastic excursion!

We did two stingray city excursions with two different companies and Captain Marvin’s was definitely the superior experience.

Astor, Jimmy, and Fred, were an outstanding crew. Gave us good, clear guidance to stay safe and protect the local environment and still were fun and very thoughtfully helpful.

This was a fantastic excursion to Stingray city. Jessie and Richard were fantastic guides on the trip. The first stop at stingray city was nothing short of perfect with plenty of time to take photos with stingrays and learn about them. Jessie was patient and a great sport about helping each of us get a memorable photo and video. Then we stopped at two reefs to snorkel where we had plenty of time to take in the sea life. We saw more stingrays, parrotfish, a moray eel, and beautiful coral in the warm and clear blue Grand Cayman waters. We’re grateful for the memories from this experience. Make sure to bring towels and adult beverages. You may also want to bring your own snorkel gear if you’re an advanced diver. This was a legitimate 10/10 experience

The crew was friendly and professional. Snorkeling was ok, but the rays were the highlight. We would go again tomorrow.

I will preface this by stating that this is my second time using this company and we had a great experience the first time which is why we used them again years later. Our morning for the the stingray/starfish/caves tour started out bad and it ended just as poorly. We were told to be ready for pickup in our hotel lobby between 0700-0715, we arrived at 0655. At 0730 we still had not been picked up so at that point our hotel began to get worried. Our hotel had to call twice to get through to the company to find out where our driver was and we did not get picked up until AFTER our tour was supposed to start (about 0750). The lady who picked us up was clearly in a hurry- did not great us or apologize for being late. She just shoved a waiver (which we had already completed online) at us telling us to complete it while she drove very aggressive. We know we were not the only ones “forgotten” as we stopped at another resort to pick up a guest and their hotel told the lady that they got tired of waiting and took their own car. Once upon the boat another family told us that they too had to call that morning as they were not picked up on time- appears they had a late morning. We were told we would have about 30 minutes at both the stingrays and the starfish at the start of the tour. However once we got to the starfish we were told we would have about 20 minutes if we were also going to the cave. However, before everyone had even got off the boat, our van to goto the caves was already there and telling us to come out of the water. The crew of the boat yelled across the water to the man and asked if we could have a few more minutes as we had only been there for three minutes. The cave driver told him no, as there were alot of mosquitoes where he was waiting (which he was correct-bring bug spray for around starfish area). Plus, I don’t blame him- it’s not his fault we were late getting to the starfish. So, we barely got maybe 5 minutes at the starfish and again, no apology by the crew. After the caves we were dropped off at a restaurant/dock to be picked up by the boat again. During the drive, our driver told us we were behind schedule which was why he was driving over the speed limit- to get us to the dock on time. Finally, during the briefing that morning we were told NOT to get food at the docks and that if we wanted to get a drink it needed to be to-go as we would only have a max of 10-20 minutes and not enough time. Once we arrived, the restaurant staff was clearly annoyed by our arrival and made us sit on the beach without umbrellas as we were not ordering food- again, I agree with their point as we were not a paying customer. No one in my party minded either as we were expecting a 10-20 minutes wait. After about 50 minutes of waiting in the sun without shade or food since we didn’t order per their request, our boat arrived. Again, no apology was offered for being late. Our return time to the hotel was supposed to be 1315-1330 but we didn’t get back to the docks until 1342 where we were then loaded in vans and drove to our hotel/dock for cruise ships. Also, we were sent someone else’s photos from the trip and not our own. Some people probably enjoy their privacy and wouldn’t like others to be able to purchase their photos, and it would have been nice to be sent my own photos to view for purchase. Sad to say, I will not book with this company again or at least not a tour that involves getting off the boat where more planning is required. It would have been nice to be at least offered an apology instead of being asked to provide a tip at the end of the day.

The crew was great, super friendly. The snorkeling was fantastic! So many fish, stingrays and even a sea turtle. Can’t wait to do it again!!
