We had a great experience during our Rainforest tour. Syl (our guide) was great! Very personable and knowledgeable. The tour was a good pace with appropriate amount of stopping. Recommend this tour if you only have a few hours on the island and highly recommend Syl as your guide.
Zidan was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. The views and sights of the rainforest would have been enough on their own but learning all about the plants, animals and cultures that surrounded us made this a memorable experience. We were collected and dropped back to the cruises port with efficient and perfect timing and this really was one of the highlighted of our cruise. I would highly recommend Zidan and this tour for your day in St. Kitts.
David was personal and provided us with lots of information about the area.
Great excursion. Our guide, who grew up just outside the rainforest, was great. He was very knowledgeable and offered a lot of good information.
This was a lovely walk/hike through the rain forest. Kelvin was our guide and knew all the plants and how to use them. Being a plant person, that was great and really the reason we went. Kelvin was so nice and funny. I only gave this a 4 because in your listing you mention bottled water and a walking stick. Take that out of your description as folks will want that. We bring our own water so no biggie but others may not.
Very enjoyable and informative. Included a home in the rain-forest and lots of information about the different plants and trees. Our guide was a local but spoke great English and was really knowledgeable. Thank you.
Our guide was very personable and fun. He made the experience very enjoyable. We are not avid hikers and we easily navigated the hike. I’d make sure to wear athletic footwear.
Zidan was a wonderful guide full of local information and very entertaining as well. The rainforest tour was even better than expected thanks to Zidan’s enthusiasm and knowledge of the area. Seeing monkeys scrambling around in the trees above was an added bonus. As was the stop on way back to hotel on Timothy hill for some beautiful pictures of the coastline. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a knowledgable guide and a hike through the St Kitts rainforest!!
This was a fun and really interesting way to learn more about the island during our trip. We enjoyed walking through the beautiful rainforest and learning how many plants can be used as medicine. Interactive too - we got to taste almonds, swing from a vine, and use a rock to make a noise that echoed throughout the rainforest. Our guide was truly passionate about the area and his enthusiasm was contagious. This is a half day activity (ending with island snacks and drinks) where we were able to learn about history and nature during our vacation.
Zadin, our tour guide was fantastic! While we were picked up by the wrong tour group from our resort originally… when he realized we were missing he tracked us down :) Luckily the local companies talk to each other!! Once we were connected…it was a great day. He was very friendly and accommodating. As we traveled from our pick up point up to the sugar plantation referred to as Wingate Estate he would stop along the way and give us some history of the island. This included stopping at or passing by the memorial to those who died in World War I and in World War II, where the local bird flock of Cattle Egrets home their young (to protect against mongoose), the Bloody Point, a few of the Universities and other small tidbits about the islands. Once we arrived at the historic plantation, we walked through some of the ruins and then went onto the rainforest hike. Zadin, our tour guide, really showed his passion for the island and highlighted many of the local vegetation, spoke to how the locals used the plants, leaves, seeds for various medicinal reasons. We even spotted a few monkeys!!! Towards the end he shared some fresh made banana bread, plantain chips, passion fruit juice and local rum for the adults :) We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Just don’t make the mistake we did…and verify company name before just hopping on a safari truck 🤪
