Very extravagant stage and mobile platforms. Great costumes and fine dancing. 06779799990990000967888
We had an absolute blast! A super fun and entertaining show, the staff were friendly and the food was good!
Might hard to find the place because sign “Gira Gira girls” bigger than “samurai restaurant”. Better make sign like “ samurai Gira gira show & foods”?? Anyway, give us energy and fun! Foods was good!
Dear Etsuko, Thank you so much for joining the Samurai Restaurant tour through us, and for taking the time to share your review! We are truly delighted to hear that the show gave you energy and fun, and that you enjoyed the food. We also sincerely appreciate your feedback about the signage. You make a very helpful point — the 'Samurai Restaurant' sign being smaller than 'Gira Gira Girls' can definitely be confusing for first-time guests. We will share your suggestion with the venue so that future visitors can find the entrance more easily. We would love to welcome you back the next time you are in Tokyo. Until then, please take care! Warm regards, KOIKOI JAPAN TOUR
Wild show. Entertaining while and super stimulating they are performing but there is a lot of downtime of 10 min or more while they change costumes and stuff. The food was just okay. Cash only for extra drinks and souvenirs. We were at the end of our time in Japan so our cash was limited.
I have experienced this show before when it was in a different location and called the Robot Restaurant and so I was excitedly looking forward to seeing it again, this time with my whole family. What a disappointment!!! There was more time sitting there looking at what looked like sheets than the show itself and while waiting I completely lost the atmosphere of the show. The room had nothing going for it. Last time there were no sheets, there were light shows on the walls all the time and a much bigger and better show. Running through with just one intermission. I suggest you do away with props and go back to what you used to have.
Dear MelbCherub, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback, and we are truly sorry the show fell short of what you remembered from the Robot Restaurant. Returning with your whole family makes that disappointment all the more meaningful to us. The specific points you raised — the pacing between segments, the projection screens, and the overall atmosphere of the room — are exactly the kind of feedback we want to pass on to the Samurai Restaurant team. We genuinely appreciate you writing such a thoughtful review rather than simply leaving without a word. We hope you will give us another opportunity in the future, and we will do our best to make the next visit one worth remembering. Warm regards, KOIKOI / Samurai Restaurant Booking Team
I went with my boyfriend, I wasnt sure what to expect, but I really did enjoy it. Lots of lights, bling, dancing, choreographed fighting. It's very OTT! It's lots of fun though.
All the actors/dancers looked like they enjoyed doing the show, so many beautiful smiles and voices.
Easily the best live show I've seen while in Japan. The performance was fantastic and I had an absolute blast! There's solid audience participation, the costumes are amazing, and honestly I think I'm going to go back and see it again before I leave. Included bento box meal was also decent, and drinks were reasonably priced (note: cash only when you get inside though). It isn't crowded either (they keep the audience size managable)... but, oh my word, it's loud lol
Hi Adam, Thank you so much for joining our Futuristic Show at Samurai Restaurant! We’re really happy to hear it was the best live show you’ve seen in Japan and that you had an amazing time. We’re glad you enjoyed the audience participation and the costumes—and thank you for the helpful note about cash-only inside. We also appreciate your feedback on the bento and drink pricing. And yes… it can definitely get loud! 😄 We’d love to welcome you back again before you leave. See you next time! Best regards, KOIKOI JAPAN TOUR Team
I'll give it 4.5 stars. The performers were really great, and the opening act is exactly what you're looking for. If you remember the old Robot Restaurant - this is in the exact same spot. It's a similar but not the same show as Robot. This one is based more on Japanese history and culture. There are a LOT of intermissions. I'd say every 5-10 minutes they take a break to set up the next scene and to allow you to buy more drinks and food. Food actually wasn't bad. There are not a ton of seats so the place doesn't feel cramped and you are like right in front of the stage - so no bad seats.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and for visiting the Futuristic Show at Samurai Restaurant! We’re really happy to hear you enjoyed the performers and that the opening act delivered the excitement you were looking for. Yes—this venue is in the same location as the former Robot Restaurant, and we’re glad you felt the connection while also noticing how this show has its own theme rooted in Japanese history and culture. We also appreciate your note about the intermissions. The short breaks are designed to reset the stage safely and prepare each scene, and they also give guests a chance to order additional food and drinks. That said, we understand that frequent breaks can feel like a lot, so your feedback is very helpful and will be shared with the production team. Lastly, thank you for mentioning the seating and visibility—being close to the stage with no “bad seats” is something we work hard to maintain. We hope to welcome you again soon!
Very Loud. All things gaudy and delightful. I was laughing and having a great time. Good experience.
