I really enjoyed my evening! Alex was the best host. He spoke fluent English and was very knowledgeable. The African folklore show was incredible. I could feel the passion and almost teared up. We had dinner at cuco bistro. The steak was so juicy and delicious. The passion fruit mousse was insane. 10/10 🤩
Absolutely recommended this tour. We toured Pelourinho, then went to a spectacular show at the Teatro Miguel de Santana and ended with a rich dinner at Cuco Bistró. Plus the excellent service of our driver Adriano, who transferred us.
Stellar performance of capoiera, Candomble, and various forms of Afro-Brazilian dance. The guide was so sweet and helpful. The food at Cuco Bistro was great
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're delighted you enjoyed the folkloric show and dinner experience. It’s wonderful to know the performances and Afro-Brazilian traditions left such a strong impression, and that you felt well taken care of by our guide. Cuco Bistrô truly is a gem—we’re glad you loved the food too! We hope to welcome you back soon for more unforgettable moments in Salvador.
The show was beautiful, the dinner was so delicious and my guide Monia was very knowledgeable and kind! I really enjoyed the evening as a solo traveler and imagine with would have been even more delightful with company.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're glad you had a memorable evening with Monia — she’s a fantastic guide. It's great to hear you enjoyed the show, the dinner, and felt welcomed even as a solo traveler. We’d love to host you again, next time with company!
An outrageous price for someone to walk you down the road to a theatre for a show, and then across the road to a restaurant. I learned absolutely nothing about the area. The show was good but if you can book tickets directly for a fifth of the price. In the description of the tour there seemed to be 2 other items that were not even mentioned by our guide.
Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent experience with us. We’re sorry to hear the tour did not meet your expectations. Our guide followed the itinerary and provided detailed information about the planned activities as described. However, we understand that you were looking for a more immersive city tour rather than the specific experience we offered. Regarding the additional items you mentioned from the description, we regret any misunderstanding. Our goal is to provide clarity in all our communications, and we will review the tour details to ensure they align with what was delivered. We're glad you enjoyed the show and understand your concern regarding the price. The cost includes the convenience of a curated experience, tickets, and guidance throughout, but we understand if it didn’t provide the value you were seeking. Your feedback is invaluable, and we’ll use it to improve our offerings. If you’d like to discuss this further, feel free to contact us directly. Best regards, marcos
Alex was a great guide. He met us promptly at the hotel and was very knowledgeable about the different sections of the performance and meanings of the various performances. His energy and enthusiasm was infectious! The Bale Folklorico was outstanding. The dinner that was included with the tour was at one of the highly recommended restaurants in the historic center. A great evening and I would highly recommend the tour. Make sure to ask for Alex as your guide!
The cultural experience was amazing. The pride and value about the culture experienced was beautiful and fulfilling. My tour guide Alex Garunga, helped make my tour a success. He was personable, informative, connected and joyful. Alex was an absolute pleasure!
Very insightful show and lovely food at Cuco. However, I think we were overcharged, it’s cheaper to buy the ticket directly from the theatre and go to the restaurant yourself. Overall, it was a great experience :)
It was a wonderful experience. Alex our guide was super nice and did everything so the tour was safe and special!!! The folkloric dance was extraordinary and the dinner at Cuco was very tasty. Thanks Alex for a great day!!! Pelourinho in Salvador is a great place to visit.
The pre-drink venue was interesting (busy and good cachaca shot with vanilla). The show was just excellent...good round-up of Afro-Brazilian resistance and experience...really enjoyed it. The dinner was at a fabulous venue but the meal choices weren't the best that they offer (I'd eaten there before and chosen a Bahian dish which was amazing). The guide was fantastic...full of life and stories and brought the whole experience alive!!!
