I have always been fascinated by whirling dervishes and it was interesting to learn about what they are really all about. That said, my misconception was that they would be entertaining. This is strictly a religious ceremony. It is quite solemn, slow and rhythmic. I noticed several audience members nodding off, fidgeting and yawning. It is fascinating amd educational, but don’t expect rousing entertainment. Lasts about 1 hour.
It was very interesting and a unique experience. I’m happy that we did it. Would recommend to understand the culture.

For all those who love to spend the evening in the curage this tour is perfect. Nowhere and never have I felt so much emotion as on this beautiful vessel. It's not just a tour, it's a fairytale night on the Bosphorus. Live music, shows, food, dancing and most importantly a positive atmosphere. I recommend it!!!
An interesting cultural experience, rather solemn ( you were advised not to applaud). Interesting to see the symbolism of the dances just not a normal tourist thing.
