A 6 hour trip from our NE-located hotel (pickup to drop off) in a covered open back Land Rover. Only 9 on our trip and enough bench space but a bumpy experience overall. Lulu was our knowlegable guide for the day and had many interesting facts and stories to share throughout. First stop, after a short drive south out of Castries, a 15 minute gentle "trek" along the rainforest river valley up to the waterfall - cool and beautiful flora and fauna. A short comfort stop and opportunity for souvenir shopping before an hour onwards ride through the hills and many villages/towns to see the Pitons and volcano mud baths - super hot thermally heated water and quite entertaining as we smothered oursleves with grey mud slip and painted volcanic black mud patterns! A quick shower and change before heading down the hill to our coastal luncheon stop - local selection of hot foods overlooking the harbour area. Then the winding drive back to the Castries area. Worth the trip to see some of the island's lush scenery and take in the local island way of life.

Overall the trip was okay and the lunch was great but it was not an amazing tour. The rest of the trip was spent riding or bouncing around in the back of a pickup truck for hours while driving around busy city streets. The banana plantation tour was nothing more than driving past it on the hwy. It was the same experience as driving past it to go to and from the airport. The waterfall hike was nice but not again not amazing. The mud bath was amazing but we were rushed through it so quickly that we barely had time to let the mud dry. It was disappointing. The tour guide was great but we couldn't hear a word she said over the noisy stinky diesel engine. I don't recommend it if you get car sickness. We barely got to see the Pitons except for a quick stop on the road to snap a picture. I got a better picture of the Piton from the restaurant balcony. If it was the Piton I was looking, not sure. Overall it was okay but not worth the money.
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad you were able to enjoy some aspects of the tour and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. This tour is designed as a scenic jeep safari, with a significant portion of the day spent traveling through the countryside and coastal roads to showcase different parts of the island. We understand that this style of tour may not be ideal for everyone, particularly those sensitive to longer drives or bumpy terrain. We also regret that some stops felt too brief and that it impacted your overall enjoyment. Your feedback is valuable and will be shared with our team as we continually look for ways to improve the experience and pacing where possible. We truly appreciate you joining us and sharing your thoughts, and we hope you were still able to take away some enjoyable moments from your day. Best, IR Experience
To note, I booked this trip through the resort we stayed with. I want to first highlight the positive aspects of this tour: our tour guide, Zara, and driver, Ian, were delightful companions for our excursion. Zara was warm, welcoming, and informative, providing a lot of interesting information about the island. Ian safely drove us to our destinations and I never felt unsafe with his driving. The itinerary was great, and it was followed by our hosts. Beyond that, we are pretty disappointed with the overall experience. The lunch at a local restaurant was lovely and delicious - but there were no “awe-inspiring views of the iconic Pitons” as the tour description stated. There were no Pitons in sight. The only time you see the Pitons, in fact, is driving down a mountain where they briefly stop so you can snap some pictures. I gave this trip 3 stars because it wasn’t worth the money. It was a very rushed tour and I think they must believe all tourists just want a photo op. We did not. We wanted to soak in the pool at the bottom of the waterfall, soak in the hot springs, and let the mud dry on us properly at the springs for the best effects. We were rushed to quickly dip into the springs, cover in mud, and then rinse back in the spring. There were zero minutes of rest or relaxation in this experience. Additionally, we were not offered the chance to use the wash house; we were whisked right to lunch. The tour description stated this was a 9-hour outing. We were gone no more than 7. The hike through the rainforest was beautiful and perhaps the best part of the trip because it couldn’t be rushed. The actual waterfall was pretty but not breathtaking. It’s interesting to note that, if you search “Venus Waterfall” online, you’ll not find it but several others come up. This was simply a pretty, small waterfall off a beaten path you could access for free. (Though having a local machete-wielding bushwhacker with us was fun and helpful. Thanks, Branch!) Get you a cab and pay admission to the sulfur springs. You’ll save money and get to have a real experience rather than a couple quickly snapped photos for social media.

Our time with Lulu and Ian was fun from start to finish! Lulu knows EVERYTHING about everything and has the best jokes. You won’t have a single dull moment with her infectious smile and sweet heart. Ian ensured we had safe and efficient travels and helped us be the first tour there—no waiting! We loved the whole experience from the hike, the volcano mud bath, am the restaurant where we enjoyed a plethora of delicious local food, and then back to our resort. Special mention to Branch who helped us navigate the higher than usual river crossings on the hike, making dozens of trips for us and the other couple on our excursion to keep us safe! MVP crew and a truly unique experience!

Lulu and Burke were our guides and they were amazing. Lulu provided plenty of jokes and cool info about St. Lucia. First we picked everyone up then went to see the waterfall. Another guide helped us pass through the forest to get there and the waterfall was beautiful. Then we drove and made some stops along the way at shops and had lunch which was all very good. We then made it to the volcano and mud baths which was such a cool experience. This is a great excursion and we are so happy we did this!
