Tour guide was great. He made sure we got the most out of our safari.
Excellent experience, exceeded expectations, our guide was fantastic, he did his best to give us amazing views, we managed to see elephants and bears. The taxi booked by the company was on time and with a great driver.
We did 2 tours with the same great driver who did an excellent job showing us not only nice places in Yala, but also beyond the park (observing some elephants close by). He made those tours very special for us. The jeep was also spacious, not like with another provider where we all could almost not move. PS. Yala is much more than only chasing Leopards…
We (a couple in their mid-30s from Germany) went on an afternoon safari with this provider yesterday and are really excited. Our guide was very professional, drove excellently and provided us with interesting information during the tour. In addition, he spoke very good English and even a bit of German, which made communication particularly pleasant. We found it particularly positive that he deliberately tried to avoid the large crowds. He told us that there were around 150 tours on the way – and yet we were often in areas all alone. When we encountered other cars, they were often traveling in groups. This has made the safari very special for us, because you want to experience an animal safari and not a human safari. Even though we didn't see a leopard, our guide really tried everything to make this experience possible. In the end, however, that wasn’t bad at all because the whole tour was so harmonious, relaxed and authentic and instead we saw one of the rather rare elephants with tusks and even a herd with babies. Another highlight was the conclusion of the tour: We were one of a few cars to watch the sunset outside the park, while most were taken directly to the hotel – a beautiful and very special moment. A clear recommendation!
We participated in the Abedsafari in Yala National Park. We had a Toyota jeep just for us. The driver arrived on time & spoke very good English. In the national park, he found paths where we saw only a few jeeps. For this we saw numerous animals. our guide named the animals and told all about the animals (e.g. what the animals feed, special features...) In addition to the numerous birds & water buffalo, we saw crocodiles and elephants up close. We could also see the leopard on a tree. The highlight was that we saw one of the 25 bears. This is even rarer than the sighting of the leopard. The tour was supposed to be finished by 18:00 (plus return), but our guide discovered a few elephants where we could take numerous souvenir photos. If we would do a safari in Yala Natuonalpark again, we would definitely book again at Yanaka Safari. The tour was great.
Our driver was great and very passionate about seeing the animals himself. Saw leopards, elephants, crocs, birds and more. Great experience. Be prepared to pay entrance fee after you tip at end of the very end of tour.
AMAZING safari, I went with my friends to see leopards and we saw 2!!!! Sramil was the best guide ever and knew exactly where to look and when to get the best chance of spotting. we saw everything: leopards, elephants (both juvenile and mature), crocs, buffalo, deer, mongoose, and so so many different kinds of beautiful birds. Our guide Sramil is truely the best and I cannot wait to come back some day and book with him again! That man deserves every penny for the experience he provides. 10/10 experience
Srimal was an amazing guide and he went above and beyond to make sure we saw many animals. We saw two leopards in a half day evening tour which was unheard of. Srimal was very friendly and happy to answer and questions.
Overall, the experience was "quite okay." However, we had hoped for something more. The driver showed us the animals unfortunately only very briefly, which made the observation difficult. The Jeep was also a bit old; the seats were very hard and made the longer journey uncomfortable. Another deficiency was that the water was only served on demand and then only warm. But what we really lacked was the promised binoculars. On a safari, I think this is indispensable to observe the animals well. It was fine, but there is definitely room for improvement, especially in terms of equipment and service.
Thank you for your review. We provide defernetly binocular per jeep. Not per person. There is a binocular for every jeep. It is not old jeep but it is true it is not very new one. But all the jeeps are compatible for safari. Usually we give water when people ask. But we usually say to ask water and binocular when people need Thank you
We had a wonderful experience. Our guide Amila was very helpful, friendly and knew lots of interesting facts about the animals. We told Amila that we didn't want to hunt leopards, but wanted to see all the animals in the park. We wanted an experience without crowds and jeeps – and that's exactly what we got. Thank you very much, Amila – it was a great experience where the animals were respected.
