Very nice tour, the guide Sofia was amazing and the tour very pleasant, we recomend 100 % The views in Hierve el agua where incredible.
Great trip! Santiago and our driver were awesome. Group of 6 total, which is a nice small group. The artisinal bakery stop was interesting and we had an amazing tamale. Hierve el Agua is stunning. It was too cool to swim, but the hike was gorgeous. Then a really fun and tasty authentic mezcal distillery tour and tasting. A great day!
We want to thank the attention from IG, the reception, explanation, support and attitude of Santiago, even with English/Spanish group had all the push to explain us. Patience in terms of waiting, explaining and following the needs of the group was very good. Thank you, thank you.
An unbelievable experience and one I would highly recommend when visiting Oaxaca. This tour ran incredibly smoothly and our guide was awesome! Thanks Keren!
I do not appreciate the lack of transparency in the tour description. However, I want to mention that our guide was really kind; well intentioned and the driver very professional. The guide even bought a bottle of mezcal for the group to have all a shot. Firstly the group was not small. We were 18 persons and we merged with other 2 groups to multiple attractions The bread tasting is a scam. A place with hundreds of people and bread broken from a package. In Oaxaca there are a lot of super good bakeries and coffee shops. We could have just stopped to one of them instead. The guide was however super nice and to Aqua del Hierve he explained us the way to do the hiking/ walk around by ourselves. Beautiful scenery. The water was a bit chill. Lunch it is a self service with other of hundred of people around. It was interesting seeing the plantation of mezcal and the guide provided really good information about the production process. We had 12 small tasting, but half were mainly sweet mixtures. I belive it was a very commercial tour and I would have preffered transparency regarding no of people . I would have chosen something only with Aqua de Hierve and the mezcal tasting.
Dear Iuliana, Thank you for your feedback! We’re happy you enjoyed the guide, driver, and mezcal explanations. Your tour took place during the Day of the Dead season (the busiest time of the year in Oaxaca ) when it’s very difficult to keep groups small. Even so, we’re always committed to offering the best possible service. The bread tasting stop is at a local bakery located on the way to Hierve el Agua (almost a 2-hour drive) to make the trip more comfortable and give guests a short break. We truly appreciate your comments and will keep improving. We’d love to host you again during a quieter season for a more personalized experience. Kerenn
We had such a great experience on this tour, Hierve el Agua was beautiful and the mezcal tasting was informative and fun. Thanks for the day trip!
Small group (just my husband and I with one other couple) led by Santiago on a great tour! He shared some history while on our drive and was very passionate and kind. Loved each step of the tour and recommend it as a good way to get out of the city and see multiple sites
Amazing place to visit. The hike is a bit strenuous but only adds to a wonderful experience. Santiago, our tour guide, was so attentive and accommodating. Great value, great experience, highly recommend. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen.
This experience was magical! Expanding my experience of Oaxaca to some really magical nature, a hilarious mezcal tasting & beyond. Santiago & Luis were truly what made the whole trip for me. I mentioned wanting to see the Tule Tree, & as a surprise, they took us there at the end. The guides were one of a kind — ask for them if you’re doing an experience like this!! PS - the hike was long and hard. If you just want to swim in the water, you won’t regret it ;)
We had a great day ! Our tour guide, Santiago, was punctual picking us up from the meeting point in Oaxaca and was so kind. He gave us explanations of interesting landmarks along the way and in the stops of the tour. He was also very flexible with us and allowed us to enjoy our time fully. We really enjoyed him as a tour guide. He friendliness and attention to each individual guest on the tour really made us feel like we were receiving a 5 star experience! Another plus was the mezcalería. The owner, Mr. Tino, was very knowledgeable, kind, and fun. We were so pleasantly surprised about the entire tour experience and would definitely repeat the tour with Santiago.
