It's amazing the area was so peaceful and the food was awesome. We go back next time in Philippines
I have been here three (3) times already, and the most recent one was before the pandemic. I indicated that I went to the place in January 2022, just to comply with the requirements of the review. Nevertheless, I can still feel the excitement and anticipation of being inside the resort whenever I am preparing for a trip to Villa Escudero. First, the various WWII mementos on the ground near the place where the carabao cart pickup is always a delight for visitors. Second, the religious items collected by the owners of the place is a flashback of our religious history and a testament to our endearing faith to the Roman Catholic Church. Third, the luncheon by the waterfalls is unique and can only be done inside the resort. Moreover, the food itself is an added value to the trip. Visiting the place with the whole family is recommended, it will give the family members to bond while appreciating the life of our ancestors.
Good day out with family meal incuded with the price swimming pool jacuzzi and river boats plus quaint little carabou ride where locals get on the ride and sing local philipino song
We had been staying in Manila for a few days and wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle. The Villa includes a museum visit which was the most amazing private collection I have seen. For a small additional fee you could take the tour of the house museum, which they had to open up the house for us, we were the it ones through that day, it was well worth the visit and small amount extra to get a look inside the house and see the kitchen and hear the stories from the guide who takes you through. We thought this was a great bonus that no one else that day saw because we were the only ones through it on the day. They have book rafts you can paddle on a little lake which was a but of fun. Then three pools including a kids pool, infinity edge pool and an adults only pool. This was a lovely way to spend few hours. You can hire lockers for your gear and spend as long as you like. We had a lunch included served down by the manmade waterfall, it was cool to dip your feet in the water as you ate. The food was lovely. All and all if you are looking for something with a variety of relaxation, history, food and activities then you should check this out.
This place has everything you need and want to have a good time! Food, swimming pool private cottages and many other amenities waiting for you and your family. Check it out !
We missed joining our group in 2015 for a day visit. We made sure that we will get to see this refreshingly cool place when we return here in the Philippines. Well, finally on April 11th, my cousin brought us for a sightseeing tour at this place. We loved the waterfalls and the lunch by the water (using our bare hands- a customary way to eat in a picnic place to enjoy the sumptuous grilled foods). The ride on the carabao with music was awesome! We sang along while we were taken to the falls. Very nostalgic to hear old Filipino songs! Love it! Also, we enjoyed the 2 or so hours of Filipino entertainers with their traditional dances in their native costumes. Worth the long drive after all! We would recommend our family and friends from California to come and visit this place on their next visit! A must see and experience place to be!
Villa Escudero is a 2 hour drive from Manila. it is a perfect place for a day trip. The museums are very well done. The meal they serve is very generous and tasty. And they serve it by the waterfalls. Very enjoyable day!
We didn't stay overnight, but had a great day at this resort, a former coconut plantation! The buffet dinner was so unusual at the foot of a waterfall that was accessed by stepping stones through the river. Our serves brought us food from the buffet which was enjoyed while water swirled around our feet! A variety menu Items were served on banana leaves that seemed authentic. We also really enjoyed the cultural show afterward that featured dance and music from several different parts of the country! Very entertaining--it concluded with a cock fight which was not allowed to end in a kill, thank goodness! We also enjoyed the museum on site, especially the inauguration costumes of past first ladies !
I was expecting a tour related to agriculture, since the place is a coconut plantation. However it is more of a theme park to learn culture of Philippines, water activities, cultural show and local lunch inside artificial water fall. The museum is interesting to look around if you are in the Philippines for the first time. The swimming pool is cozy and relaxing space for family. It is a rare experience to have lunch just under the waterfall. Although it was out of my intention the tour itself was very entertaining, thanks to our tour guide Rolando. 滝つぼでの食事や水牛に乗ったりとフィリピンの文化を味わえる。滞在時間は短いがプールなどで水遊びもできる。博物館も説明を受ければ楽しめるので、ガイドが重要。ココナッツはなにも関係ない。
