Le bus va au parc national du Vésuve (40 minutes) et s'arrête à 1000 mètres de hauteur et là, les clients auront du temps libre pour la visite du cratère. Breathtaking view

The climb to the top of Mount Vesuvius is fairly strenuous, but it is worth it: a stunning view of the Gulf of Naples. Along the path there are refreshment areas: I recommend stopping at the very top at the elderly lady's kiosk.

The view is worth it.

There was a long drive to the entrance and we then ascended without a guide. I saw some older people struggling as some paths are quite steep. The view is worth it though, even with the heat.

Ok with some minor flaws

Slightly disorganised. Bus down from vulcano not on time. So we had to rush rush se the vulcano, then wait for the bus to arrive. Some staff in shop rude. Otherwise it was ok. We got up to see it th vulcano ok

Vesuvius

Fantastic views from the Vesuv over Naples and the area. But was picked up 50 minutes later than agreed and the collection site was changed, without us being notified, we were lucky that there were others who got the message. There should be a guide at the collection site. Now there stood 40-50 people who all thought the trip didn't turn into anything. Flemming

Hot Bus But Given Exactly What Was Stated

Despite other reviews that I read prior to booking this experience, I felt as though everything that was stated would be provided and offered, was provided and offered. This is not a tour of Vesuvio. It is transportation to and from the 1,000 meter point of Vesuvio. We were picked up in front of a hotel on a minibus. Then exchanged the voucher provided on Viator for a ticket in the minibus. Then transported to the 1,000 meter point of Vesuvio and given a pick-up time. We hiked up to the very top with multiple breaks and multiple stops at each of the 3 shops to buy souvenirs / snacks / waters totaling around 40 minutes up and 30 minutes down give or take. Then we were picked up by a larger bus and taken back to the hotel. This larger bus was VERY full and VERY hot FYI.

Solo Traveller

It was a nice but expensive ride to the Vulcano, rather than a guided tour. No information was provided about the site. The only info was the time to be back at the car. Moreover, the time was cut back from the advertised time/T&C on the web. Have to run up and down fast, not to miss the bus. Could have taken a taxi.

Can't organize better yourself

As read in other reviews, our tour via WhatsApp has also been postponed by half an hour. Pick up was on time with a minibus. Check-in smoothly, the journey without further delay. Since we were in the low season, there was not much going on at Vesuvius either. We had enough time to go up and have a look at everything at the crater in peace. Pick up at the bottom of the gate on time and without any problems. Also the return trip to the starting point was as planned and we returned on time. Individual arrival by train/bus is complicated, with the rental car not really recommended due to the limited parking on the mountain. So, in summary, an ideal compromise. We'll be back!

Terrible, they will lie and threaten to steal from you - AVOID!

Absolutely terrible company. Rude staff who speak aggressively to you and lie. We checked in 10 mins before our tour at the office in Pompei and walked with everyone else to the bus stop area, a few minutes up the road. Some people arrived after us. The main office guy was extremely rude, and so I told him this is not how you speak to clients and no wonder Around Vesuvio only has 2 stars on Tripadvisor. He then told me aggressively slapping me on the back that he was going to change his sheet and mark my family as 'no-show'. We argued this is not fair as we had pre-paid for our tickets, and checked in with other people arriving after us, and he said "F**K off". He said all of this in front of everyone, not just my family, with no shame! When we said we were going to get on the bus as we already had our tour stickers on our tops, he actually said "you can get on the bus but I will not give you your tickets so you won't get through the entry to Vesuvius!" THAT IS THEFT AND BLATANTLY DISHONEST - HE SHOULD BE FIRED! WE HAD PRE-PAID FOR TRANSPORT AND ENTRY TO VESUVIOUS. We got on the bus anyway, and I sent a Whatsapp message to Around Vesuvio and the AI bot replied I should call the office +390810201145 “for immediate support from a human”. I called twice on the bus journey, no answer. I then messaged also, still no response. That was 12th April its now 15th and my message is showing as ‘delivered but not read’. UNBELIEVABLE they do not care. Fortunately when we arrived at Vesuvius the bus driver did give us our entry tickets but the whole situation was extremely unpleasant and stressful. THE ABOUT VESUVIO OFFICE WORKER SHOULD BE FIRED. He was very rude, is a liar and will threaten to steal from you without any second thought. I’m sure he was hoping we wouldn’t board the bus and go back to the office, where he’d have claimed we were late and missed the bus. AVOID AROUND VESUVIO. Terrible company exploiting tourists. I have added a photo of the member of staff in question (who threatened to withhold our tickets and mark us as 'no shows') and screenshots from ChatGPT warning about Around Vesuvio when I was researching booking a trip to Capri, sadly after I'd booked my tickets to Vesuvius. BE WARNED!

Hike to Mt vesuvius

Excellent transportation in ac bus and beautiful view of the volcano and landscape. Good hike. Bring good shoes as gravel can be slippery. Three areas along the trail to grab water and snacks.
