Sur quelques centaines de sites archéologiques ouverts officiellement au public, il n'y a que 2 sites au Mexique au bord de l'eau, l'un est Tulum dans les "Caraïbes mexicaines" et l'autre est ici même à Huatulco, ouvert en octobre 2010, vous offrant un environnement écologique unique. concept archéologique, points de vue incroyables et structures anciennes datant de plus de 2000 ans. Cette aventure commence par une visite guidée du site archéologique des pyramides de Copalita. Vous y découvrirez l'histoire et la culture des anciens habitants de la région, qui ont construit les pyramides il y a plus de 2 000 ans. Un guide local vous fera découvrir les différents bâtiments et structures du site, vous expliquant leur fonction et leur importance. À la fin de notre visite, nous aurons le temps de faire une courte visite de notre centre-ville.

We thoroughly enjoyed this experience! As it turned out we were the only two registrants that day so Alberto gave us a private tour. It was fascinating to learn about all the ancient cultures that lived in the area and left behind such interesting and impressive structures. Alberto was extremely knowledgeable regarding both the archaeology and biodiversity of the Copalita park. Apart from everything we learned, it was also a beautiful and scenic hike (moderate exertion). Highly recommend!

We got a thorough education on the history of the area (what is known) and the plants and animals, native and introduced. Alberto was knowledgeable and passionate about the archeological and biological features of the area. The ruins had not all been recovered so the site is work in progress. It was obvious that this was a significant and substantial site. We walked to a cliff area where we could see over the beaches and saw some distant whales. Also so numerous birds , coatis, squirrels and a lizard. Our tour ran long as Alberto took the time to enthusiastically answer every question. The cold beer or water at the end was a treat!!

We took the tour from Princess Cruises in February 14. 2026. Our tour guide Oscar Velasquez was great. He filled the day with interesting information about the area and archaeological site from the time we left until we returned. He was very conscientious about making sure we knew what to expect, where to be extra careful, not rushing us in a very hot and humid day, and getting to the best sites to see the ruins and take pictures. His English was perfect, as was his historical knowledge of the area and the subject. The park was very interesting. It extends to a beautiful Pacific beach that has great views after walking up a high bluff overlook. He was careful to explain what we would see, and also had a shady place for those who chose not to make the climb. It was a great trip.

Our guide was Alberto…he was amazing…besides being very friendly ,his knowledge of the history of the area, the plant life, birds, customs and cultural history of Mexico was fantastic. We even got to go on couple of paths that are only open to guided tours. Would highly recommend Alberto. Going without a guide you would miss so much.

This was a great tour in a beautiful location. We met Alberto right at the end of the pier and set off on our journey. There were 10 passengers in a comfortable, air conditioned van. Alberto discussed history on the way to the park and encouraged all our questions. We thoroughly enjoyed the morning and the view at the end was spectacular. Be advised that to get to the view over the ocean, it was a half mile up an incline including about 40 steps. Those who could not do that were about to wait at the bottom of the incline. The park was very beautiful and the ruins interesting. We learned alot. Alberto was so detailed in explaining history, culture and fauna that we ran slightly over. The beer at the end was very welcome.

It is worth the time to learn about the history, architecture, plant life and people's of Huatulco. The views of the beach below are outstanding. Alberto is very knowledgeable about this region. He makes an enjoyable experience for all who attend. There is some walking and stairs, this is not for the sedentary.
