Après plus d'un siècle de villégiature, Cascais a une certaine notoriété qui fait défaut aux stations plus récentes. Son histoire est visible dans les villas le long de la côte. La baie de sable abritée était autrefois un port de pêche préhistorique.
Avant de vous diriger vers Cabo da Roca, vous voudrez peut-être vous promener dans le centre historique de Sintra. C'est un bon moment pour se reposer, déjeuner et essayer quelques pâtisseries régionales traditionnelles. Cabo da Roca, le point le plus occidental de l'Europe continentale, est encore un autre endroit idéal pour prendre des photos et sentir la brise marine.
Nous décollons de Lisbonne le matin en direction directe du palais Pena, classé au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO. Le palais romantique du XIXe siècle est une merveille à découvrir et que vous n'oublierez pas de sitôt. C'est l'un des meilleurs endroits pour prendre des photos. Il est placé en haut de la montagne avec une vue splendide qui s'étend sur des kilomètres, jusqu'à l'océan. ( Monument suggéré )
Nous nous promènerons dans le centre historique de Sintra. C'est le bon moment pour se reposer, déjeuner et déguster quelques pâtisseries régionales traditionnelles. Vous bénéficierez d'une heure de temps libre !
La superbe Quinta da Regaleira est encore un autre site classé par l'UNESCO qui a des bâtiments sculptés dans l'ancien, des jardins incroyables et une brise gothique qui enchantera quiconque ose entrer. Plein d'histoire derrière elle, vous apprendrez tout sur les grottes, les puits secrets et l'art qui est né de la maçonnerie, les Templiers et la Rose-Croix. ( Monument suggéré )
Cette magnifique propriété est une jungle d'arbres exotiques et d'arbustes à fleurs. Son histoire remonte à l’époque des Maures, mais elle doit son nom à une petite chapelle du XVIe siècle dédiée à Notre-Dame de Monteserrat, en Catalogne, en Espagne. ( Monument suggéré )
Au cœur du village de Sintra, une paire de cheminées coniques inhabituelles s'élève au-dessus du Palais Royal. Ce Palais est devenu la retraite estivale préférée de la cour et s'est poursuivi, comme résidence de la royauté portugaise, jusque dans les années 1980. La reconstruction progressive du palais a abouti à un fascinant amalgame de styles. ( Monument suggéré )

We had the tour with Ana, and she was amazing! We loved that she was so knowledgeable and explained the history briefly. When you ask follow up questions, she will get into more details about what you are seeing. She was friendly and a delight to spend the day with. I couldn’t envision a better tour guide.
My friend and I just did the half day tour with Filipe and he was the best! He shared a lot of history about everywhere we passed by and was very sweet. Our half day tour turned into a full day tour as he made sure we took our time and visited everything we had planned. We were very lucky he was able to escort us on most stops and personally guide us through and share a lot of great info. He was able to take many photos of us and shared via whatsapp which was so nice. He was even able to add a quick stop for is to Pasteis de Belem just so I could a few up and bring back with us. Highly recommend this experience if you want to be taken care of and could not be more happy Filipe was our guide.

This was a great tour. Although expensive, it was good value for the cost. Our tour guide Ana picked us up, dropped us off at two separate places to explore, and then accompanied us thru the Pena Palace. We were able to skip the line, as promised. Ana was so nice, drove expertly, and helped to make it a great day. She even recommended a beach to us that we went to the next day, and loved. We didn’t have a lot of time in Lisbon, so this quick tour made sense for us to be able to see Pena Palace. The traffic/parking situation in Sintra seemed really challenging and we didn’t have to deal with any of it. Ana took care of everything …. And she made it look easy. That’s why I think the tour was worth the cost.

We had an amazing day touring Pena Palace, Cascais and Lisboa! Our guide was phenomenal! He was patient with the kids and seniors in our group and incredibly knowledgeable about everything. Would highly recommend for a small group!
