Description
C'est la meilleure façon de découvrir et d'explorer le parc naturel de Sintra-Cascais, un véritable paradis près de Lisbonne. Au cours de cette visite, vous visiterez certaines des magnifiques plages et montagnes de ce parc naturel, vous serez en contact permanent avec la nature et profiterez de paysages uniques. En vélo, nous visiterons le magnifique village de Sintra, connu comme le "pays des contes de fées", où nous dégusterons les douceurs locales (Queijadas de Sintra et Travesseiros), nous passerons devant de fantastiques châteaux et palais, qui appartenaient à la famille royale portugaise et de nombreux millionnaires qui ont fait leurs vacances de luxe. Sintra est décidément un lieu mythique ! Avec l'ajout de la magnifique côte de Cascais et de ses innombrables et charmantes plages sur ce circuit, on peut dire que cela équivaut à "mettre la cerise sur le gâteau". Cette visite sera le point culminant de votre voyage à Lisbonne.

Sintra est une magnifique villa chargée d'histoire, située sur l'un des contreforts de la Serra de Sintra. Avec ses châteaux, ses palais et ses ruelles pleines de couleurs, c'est un authentique décor de conte de fées. Ici, nous prenons une petite pause pour voir le village, prendre un café et goûter la pâtisserie traditionnelle.
C'est un endroit mystérieux, à l'intérieur du jardin il y a plusieurs tunnels et un puits où vous pouvez entrer. Les jours où il y a beaucoup de visiteurs, il est impossible de visiter l'intérieur, vous perdez beaucoup de temps à faire la queue, les autres jours, nous vous permettons de visiter cet endroit.
En plus de visiter le village de Sintra, lors de cette visite, nous visitons également le parc naturel de Sintra, entouré d'arbres magnifiques, profitant de vues magnifiques dans une atmosphère enchanteresse.
D'énormes falaises à côté de l'Atlantique et certaines plages font également partie de ce parc naturel, c'est pourquoi nous ferons également du vélo au sommet des falaises et visiterons certaines plages, en particulier la magnifique plage Adraga , où les jours les plus chauds, il sera possible de nager un peu.
C'est le point le plus occidental d'Europe, le passage par ce lieu symbolique est un autre temps fort de ce circuit.
Toujours dans le parc naturel de Sintra, nous visiterons l'un des points les plus élevés de cette chaîne de montagnes, le Santuario da Peninha, qui offre une vue absolument magnifique. Les jours ensoleillés, il est possible de voir Lisbonne, Cascais et toute l'étendue de l'océan Atlantique.
C'est l'une des plages les plus célèbres du Portugal, connue pour ses vagues larges et puissantes, elle est idéale pour le surf et la planche à voile.
Situé entre Serra de Sintra, Praia do Guincho et Vila de Cascais, vous trouverez cet endroit, où parfois la mer est si forte que les gens ont commencé à appeler cet endroit la bouche de l'enfer.
Cette ville est devenue très célèbre pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, lorsque de nombreuses familles royales européennes sont venues s'y installer. Ici, nous pédalerons près de la mer, un authentique lac bleu, à proximité de maisons magnifiques et de paysages à couper le souffle.

This tour was incredible! I didn’t know anything about these 2 cities/villages, but they are gorgeous and the temperature is much cooler than Lisbon on a hot day. Sintra can get crowded with tourists, but with ebikes you can get around quickly and its sooo much better than walking up the many hills! Ebikes are so fun, especially on the offroad parts through the park, getting you to some fabulous views. Thank you Maria for the excellent tour!

This was an amazing way to spend a day, seeing such varied parts of Portugal. We went from the urban bustle of Lisbon to the charming hillsides of Sintra, through the beautiful forest preserve, and down to the beaches of Cascais. It’s an exhilarating and action-packed way to see the region. Also, our guide was awesome!!

Miguel was absolutely amazing. He tailored our e-bike tour to exactly what we wanted. He gave us options like to stay on pavement or off road. He made it so much fun for our teenage boys.

Mary was wonderful. Her explanations were very helpful. We stopped twice for refreshments. First, for a coffee and a snack. Second, for a very nice lunch. The other stops were to take in a number of views and learn more about what we were seeing. Since Sintra and Cascais were the playgrounds of the well to do, biking in "their footsteps" was perfect, especially through the forest. Probably one of the best tours we have taken. It was a very full day!

The tour was very well designed. It started with a warm-up ride along a seaside cycle path, which gave us time to get used to riding the e-bikes before heading into the hills. The e-bikes were powerful and made it easy and enjoyable to explore the hilly areas of Sintra and the surrounding countryside. Along the way, Maria shared interesting bits of history, which made the experience even more enjoyable. **Tip:** The guide is very flexible when it comes to lunch, the places you visit, and the overall duration of the tour. It's a good idea to think in advance about what you would like to see and do. The tour can last more than eight hours, so keep that in mind when planning dinner or any evening activities.

We had such a fun day. Maria was a wonderful guide. She took us to an adorable pastry shop to a treat early in the day. Gave us a choice between grabbing sandwiches to eat along the way or going to a restaurant for lunch. We picnicked in the forest. She spent an extra couple hours with us. No rush, just wanted everyone to have a good time.

Maria ensured we had an incredible adventure from gaining e-bike confidence to teaching us how to take the train to seeing just about every every angle of Sintra from sea level to a 1600 foot elevation gain. We exceeded our daily steps as well as e-biked over 20 miles. This excursion exceeded every expectation! Thank you, Maria!
