I recently visited Marina Bay Sands and, while I'm glad I've experienced this iconic Singapore attraction, I wouldn't recommend the package that includes entry and the food combo. The highlight was definitely the view. Looking out across the entire city skyline, Gardens by the Bay, and the river was spectacular and made for some great photos. However, the observation deck was extremely hot, with very little shade available, making it uncomfortable to spend much time there during the day. The food combo was disappointing. The options were either a hotdog or pizza, along with a beer or a tiny plastic cup of wine. My hotdog was served cold and had far too much sauce on it, which made it difficult to enjoy. Another aspect I didn't appreciate was the photography setup. Photos are taken of guests immediately upon entry, whether you want them or not, and then you're encouraged to purchase them when leaving. At $75 for the photos, it felt quite overpriced. Considering the package cost $96 for two people, including entry and the food combo, I don't feel it offered good value for money. While the views are impressive and I'm pleased to have ticked it off my tourist list, it's not something I would recommend to others.
Glad we went in the morning and off peak, as it was quite warm, so there was a little shade to be had. Few seats. Would have enjoyed a cool drink sitting in the shade but I'm sure that it is intentional not to encourage people to stay. The view is incredible and very clear the day we went.
Because the Viator website was not working, I could not download the ticket. No one was available for help.
They will close the Skypark if its lightening. Dint have issue with that. However they will not rebook if you use Viatar. You have to contact viatar. We are on a cruise with limited time in Singapore - so was unable to do this. Again, no issue with closing for safety - but they should have provided a alternate ticket next day. No notification was provided by operator of closure so wasted a lot of time getting there only to find closed.
Would recommend only booking on the day as we where turned away due to thunder. Couldn't go again as we where returning home the day after so lost our money. Was looking forward to it and sure it would of been enjoyable.
I enjoyed my visit to the deck. I visited in the evening to enjoy the evening lights. It was busy, but I could always find a space to enjoy the views and take photos. There was no waiting to enter, which was great. I found the views spectacular and spent over an hour there, as I paid for the food package, with wine. Unfortunately, the food on offer wasn’t great for me, as I’m not keen on fast food. The choice was restricted to pizza, hotdog and fries with cheese dip. As I was hungry I tried a slice of pizza, it was warm and rubbery, and after one bite I threw it away. I wasn’t expecting a gourmet meal, but it would have been nice if a small salad was offered alongside the carb options. To exit the deck took a while, due to the long queue for the elevator.
Absolutely wonderful view, however please be aware that only the portion over hotel 3 was open to the public, not the entire length of the deck.
You are buying an entry ticket to the top of Marina Bay Sands for a specific time. Show up a little early because the line is long. We spent about 45 minutes looking at Singapore from the tower. You can walk to the Gardens and super trees from there on a well marked walkway - about 15 minutes. A fun way to see Singapore~!
Overrated and over priced. A very disappointing visit during the day and don’t be fooled as the basic ticket only gets you on a small section of the deck. The rest seems to be reserved for hotel guests, which is very unclear on the ticket. Do not do this on a hot day as there is very little shade and virtually no seating as it seems they don’t want you to stay long, even to buy some exorbitantly priced refreshments. My advice would be to buy a bar ticket in advance where the views are just as good and at least you get a free drink and a seat. The one saving grace is that the views are excellent
View is fantastic, but needed more information about what you are viewing, seemed at different points Book for an hour before sunset to see Singapore change from day to night.
