What an amazing day in Sibenik! Igor was so much fun and customized the tour for our group. He was very knowledgeable and funny. He made Sibenik one of my favorite stops on our cruise! Definitely book a day with Igor, you’ll be so happy you did!!!
What a great time with Igor! Outstanding! When I tried to book with Viator and Tripadvisor, they didn't have a listed time that worked for us (morning departures, but our cruise ship didn't arrive until the afternoon). So I contacted Igor directly, and he had the flexibility to show us around. A VERY engaging and entertaining afternoon with Igor. He met us upon docking, and we immediately set off to the local food market. He apologized that the best time to hit the market was in the morning, when all the vendors had just arrived. He introduced us, not just to a wide variety of the nooks and crannies of the city, but also to its way of life and several of its favorite foods (and drinks) along with their backstories.
Igor was awesome! We did a walking historical tour of Sibenik followed by a wonderful Dalmatian meal with wine pairings at a family winery in Plastovo. The tour is made or broken by the tour guide and Igor blew ours out of the water! He's very knowledgeable, funny, and easy going. 10 out of 10 (even if his wife thinks otherwise)!
We had an incredible food and history tour in Šibenik—truly one of the highlights of our trip. Igor met us right at our cruise ship, perfectly on time, and made us feel welcome from the start. We spent the day strolling through the charming streets of Šibenik, stopping along the way to enjoy delicious local specialties. It was the perfect blend of history, culture, and food. Igor was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the entire experience fun and relaxed. By the end of the tour, we felt like we had a real connection to the city—both its rich history and its local flavors. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Šibenik!
We had a great day doing a private combined history and food tour. Igor is personable, interesting and has encyclopedic knowledge of the history, architecture and culture of the town. We got a full walking tour of the old town and a chance to try a wide assortment of food and drink - a true taste of Sibenik. We would never have experienced or appreciated the town as much without this tour. Igor is such a friendly guy - a real people person. He’s in exactly the right profession! If you're researching guides, stop right now and just book Igor - he's the best. Highly recommended and money well spent!
Igor curated the most delightful cultural and culinary experience of our Croatian vacation and we are so grateful. His extensive historical research, cultural knowledge, network of local vendors, love of Sibenik, and his own horticulture experiences were readily apparent. Not only did we sample food, but we learned how to make an infused liquor using his herbs from his own garden. We loved every minute of our tour and recommend him highly.
This was more than a tour, it was an experience that will be remembered for a long time. We spent the day walking, eating and drinking like the locals do. One of the best Viator excursions we have ever taken!
We had a super time with Igor touring the local haunts for great food & drink traditionally consumed by locals. His knowledge of the local history & traditions was entertaining & informative. I would recommend this tour & Igor as a must do if you are visiting Sibenik.
Igor was an awesome guide. You get to try a bunch of local food and drinks, and he shares a ton of interesting history about Šibenik along the way. It’s definitely worth it!
We had such a great day with Igor! We loved the tour of the city and all the wonderful food and drink! Igor was the best host, and we absolutely loved Sibenek! We were visiting Sibenek as a cruise port and found out from Igor (not the ship) that we were not going to be docking in Sibenek but in a town about 15 mins away, he offered to come pick us up and bring us back to the new port, which made the port change easy and seemless! We can’t say enough great things about the whole experience! Thanks Igor!
