Shore Excursion: Tour Haleakala au lever du soleil pour les passagers de Pride of America

Description

Picks you up right at the port! The sunrise was gorgeous! Crew brought fleece lined ponchos and ginger chews. Breakfast was at cafe o’lie tropical plantation - we had the macadamia pancakes - 10/10. Then dropped off at the port.
So worth getting up at 2 am for this excursion! Our guide was excellent and got us there an hour before sunrise so that we had a great viewing position. The pre-dawn moon and stars were beautiful. The sunrise was just spectacular. We had a delicious breakfast following our drive down the volcano. A great 6 hours. Should not be missed.
Guides were very knowledgeable. Sunrise was magical. Breakfast was delicious. Dress warmer than you think you need to. Wear gloves. It's freezing, but so worth it.
Beautiful sunrise. Very cool but they provide you with a fleece poncho that helps. Knowledgeable guides. Also let you nap on the way since it’s an early early morning.
Everett and Abe were great as guides. They kept us awake all the way up and back or most of us. When they say dress in layers do it! The opportunity to watch the sun rise is a great way to take in Maui. You really don't get many opportunities like this in life. Take the opportunity and Valley Isle does a great job. Thank you, Michael
We took this tour while at port on The Pride Of American. It was great because the pick up and drop off was at the Port, so no Ubers or taxis. Abe was our tour guide, he kindly dispensed ginger chews to prevent potential car sickness from the winding roads leading to the summit. Once there, the tour company provides each person a fleece lined poncho to wear to protect from the wind and cold. ( It was pretty darn cold!) As the sun rose up, the locals chanted a greeting to the sun, which was amazing. Abe did an great job filling the time with history and knowledge of his island. We had several bathroom breaks. Breakfast at the plantation restaurant was extremely generous. We all had the macadamia nut pancakes, and we loved them.
Gets very cold but Jeff gave us fleece blankets which helped a lot. He was also very informative and yet allowed us to sleep on the way there.
it was a very early start and the guides made it interesting. They were funny and knowledgeable about everything and everyone. It rained that morning so we unfortunately did not get a sunrise opportunity. However, they wrapped us up like burritos to make it much less miserable to be out in that rain. My appreciation to whoever thought of that!!!!. Breakfast afterwards was delicious. Would definitely do it again.
Brad and Hawaiian David were wonderful even if the weather was terrible! No sun in sight 😩.Breakfast was very good.I imagine it beautiful up there with favorable weather conditions.
Mahalo for your kind words regarding your sunrise tour! We are so glad that your guides were able to make the morning wonderful for you, even though the weather was terrible and kept the sun hidden. It is great to hear that you still enjoyed the very good breakfast, and we truly hope you get the chance to return someday to see that beautiful view under more favorable conditions!
It was very windy and cold at the top of the mountain but, we were given fleece lined ponchos that saved the day. The views were incredible and the breakfast was at a farm and was a great addition to the day
