We booked the snorkel around a shipwreck. Due to the strong winds on the day of our trip, our tour guide said the plan had changed to only do the glass bottom boat view of the shipwreck and a snorkel of coral on the sheltered side of the island instead. As a concession, drinks were comp'd on our trip. We were happy with the experience overall. Our captain Zoe was knowledgeable of Bermuda history and facts. The whole crew was safety conscious and took very good care of us all. We were about 30 guests total, but the experience did not feel crowded. Danny and Avery were helpful with equipment, the swim and served as bar tenders. We would recommend this experience.
Crew was great. Knowledgable and ran things smoothly. The equipment is very good, you don't need to bring anything. If you take the ferry over, you wont be back by 3:00, so you'll need to figure that out.
Melvin and Avery were the best guides. The trip out to the site was lovely. The crew shared interesting g facts and anecdotes. We felt safe and had a great time. Highly recommend!
We had a great time with Captain Melvin and Avery! It was a lovely day for a boat ride and seeing the shipwrecks up close was super interesting. Avery even helped me take a video of the fish on the glass bottom. My mom and I had a wonderful day!
Great excursion. Disappointed we didn’t get to snorkel at a shipwreck but it was still a good time.
We had a great time with Melvin and Avery (apologize if I misspelled either). Both were professional but fun. There was a bit of a swell but the snorkeling was great anyways. The shipwrecks were fascinating to see and there were plenty of fish. We will definitely do another tour with them.
This was a fun way to spend our 1/2 day in Bermuda. The crew was great and the snorkeling was fun. There are lots of cool fish and two shipwrecks to see. It rained really hard once we were in the snorkeling zone but we weee able to see everything.
The crew was great, very entertaining. Gabi worked one on one with a child and helped her gain confidence to swim around the boat. If not for him she wouldn’t have gotten off the boat.
They cancelled oor trip 45 mins prior to boarding, was already there ready to check in and told wasn't going to happen.
The services provided during the tour did not match at all what was advertised and promised at the time of booking. From the outset we were advised that due to strong winds we would not be able to snorkel around the shipwrecks, for obvious safety reasons, but that we would instead see these from a distance and through the glass bottom of the ship, and that we would go to a coral site to snorkel instead. We went to the shipwreck site and circled around it for around 20 minutes, but as mentioned we were not allowed into the sea and did not see the shipwreck either through the glass bottom. And the time it took the crew to get us to the shipwreck site and the time we spent there and then the time it took for them to find the snorkeling site we had spent nearly half of the tour time (80-90 minutes) basically just sailing around. By the time we were finally allowed into the water at the snorkeling site, much to our surprise and great disappointment the coral area was in an enclosed bay or cove, completely surrounded by murky water with little to no visibility in a rocky area. Furthermore half of the corals were dead and we saw no fish at all, so it was a really disappointing experience. After 15-20 minutes we decided to swim back to ship as there was nothing else to do snorkeling-wise, so to speak. The crew offered us a drink as an apology, but had we wanted drinks on the tour then we would have chosen a party cruise instead of a snorkeling tour! So, given that we did not snorkel around the shipwrecks as advertised (and we completely understand that this was as a safety measure and precaution…), and the fact that the coral area was the worst we have ever snorkeled in (and we have snorkeled in many parts of the world) we consider on both fronts that we did not receive what we paid for. We were really expecting a much better experience, but unfortunately it was the complete opposite.
